WATA is a classical violinist turned vocalist who seamlessly intertwines ancient sound healing traditions with modern lyricism and alternative composition. She constructs her songs as a form of vocal orchestration, creating otherworldly soundscapes through vocal and synth layering. Her influences come from around the world including Dhrupad song structure, Andalusian rhythms, and Appalachian vocal inflections. The result is not only a brand of music that touches the heart and soothes the mind but a healing sound collective deep rooted in community. WATA seeks to bring a new sound to the world with a genre-bending take on New Age meditation music while creating a safe space for both curious listeners and experienced meditators alike.
