On Sunday, @solarsf took us on an otherworldly late night journey at Messy Beaucoup. Chugging techno, dark wave, and experimental textures; Solar set the stage for an epic, musical rabbit hole.

Campout Series: Solar

So I wanted to make a cool demo of this great synth but I had so much fun (as it is just one of those synth gems that brings out the creativity), that I mad an entire compilation of musical demos. Now the thing to know is that every single sound you hear (all synths, fx and drums)are made from only the AJH Minimod. I did not use any other modules at all other then one spring reverb a couple of times but that is it. Everything i did was all contained within the Minimod system itself. I have had a few Minimoogs in my time and they did such a great job that it felt very comfortable as if I was playing a Minimoog from the days of old. Then you add the modular functions and it just opens it up into new territory! I always had fun making drums on my old Minimoog(first synth i ever bought) but with the modular aspect I was very impressed how well i could make some cool drum sounds. 
So what i did was just jam out an idea then record into Digital Performer. Then just make a new sound and repeat(overdub) until I had enough parts for a song to arrange( and quantize lol). Sorry if  Here is a list of what I used:

Eric @Cloutier on the inspiration for this mix: "It's impossible to fully describe the importance of Theorem (@theorem-thx) in my life. Upon first hearing the “Nano” album I was immediately sold on his sound. Moving artfully between psychedelic, dub and chill varietals of techno, the picture he painted on this full length on Plus8 blew my mind…and honestly still does. Fast forward to the “Mantra One” EP, and I knew this wasn’t a fluke but a revolution of a genre. Almost like clockwork, singles on a sub label of M_nus started dropping; I was indoctrinated in to Theorem's sound 100% at this point. Beautiful, patient, delicate, unique, and timeless - Theorem’s records, both solo and with a handful of equally amazing friends, such as Stewart Walker, Sutekh, and Swayzak, are at once undefinable and unquestionably from one defining point in electronic music history. I’ve been fortunate enough to stay friends with Theorem for well over a decade, and he’s blessed me with a trove of unreleased transmissions I’ve never felt comfortable putting to a recording until now. Without this music  I honestly don’t know where my techno life would have taken me, but I am forever indebted to Theorem for what he unintentionally did to a random connoisseur back home in Detroit.

When we asked @marco_shuttle if he wanted to podcast an excerpt of his all night set from Public Records in February, he responded that he really wanted to publish the whole set start to finish. so here you have it, nearly 6 hours of Marco playing to the very intimate dancefloor at The Bunker Limited at Public Records in Brooklyn. This set is quite a bit different than what you might normally hear him play at a big techno club or festival, and we're thrilled to present this side of Marco's sound.
