We have here a 4-tracker EP from upcoming album by THE SOUL SESSION in early 2012. "Struggles & Blessings" feat. BAJKA is the apt opener. BAJKA, who has been busy with Bonobo, Dalindeo and Radio Citizen features her unmistakable vocal style. "Hamjam" is deeply rooted in the best of hang loose Seventies fusion, the precise machinery of Eighties funk and the crossover vibes of the Nineties. "Root Down" feat. KAY FISCHER comes in as heavy monster of a groove with a hypnotic brass section. De-Phazz vocalist KARL FRIERSON then dives soul deep into a modern fusion track. "Soul Desire" builds a bridge from the spirituality of the Seventies to the urgency of the present.

The Ambient Zone is a beautiful journey into ambient and electronica inspired by universal themes of calmness, purity, relaxation and enrichment where Weightless is coupled with some exclusive first releases and other blissfully ambient tracks from Just Music artists and alumni.

Created instinctively and intuitively by Marconi Union, Weightless has been claimed to have therapeutic properties in the way the track almost appears to have a heartbeat running through it which slows down very gently throughout the piece, encouraging a deep sense of relaxation in the body, It's use of specific rhythms, beep bass tones, frequencies and intervals induce an almost trance like state in the listener.

"Thriller" is the debut album from Australian band SWOOP, released 02/02/1993, on their own label Freakzone Records.
Several songs received extensive airplay on JJJ, Australia's dominant national youth radio network, beginning with Everybody Loves The Sunshine, a rework of the Roy Ayers classic, and then "Everything I Do From Now On Is Going To Be Funky," "Do It," and "Funkify" were all on A-Rotation. 
SWOOP were probably the only Australian band to have really explored hardcore funk influences, being strongly influenced by Parliament/Funkadelic, Sly and The Family Stone, Washington Go Go and James Brown, along with 90's R'n'B/New Jack Swing and pop. 
A highly energetic and entertaining live outfit, SWOOP toured Australia extensively on the back of this album, and performed on several high profile TV shows (Hey Hey It's Saturday, Denton, Live and Sweaty, Recovery), setting themselves up for national chart success that was achieved with their follow up album "The Woxo Principle."

On this special each producer sampled their own D.B piece as opposed to the all usual theme of all producers sampling the same song.

My arrangement of the Classic Dave Brubeck tune for four.... count 'em, four guitars. 

Brubeck heard this unusual rhythm performed by Turkish musicians on the street. Upon asking the musicians where they got the rhythm, one replied "This rhythm is to us, what the blues is to you." Hence the title "Blue Rondo à la Turk."

The rhythm consists of three measures of 2+2+2+3 followed by one measure of 3 + 3 + 3 and the cycle then repeats.

The piece is sometimes incorrectly assumed to be based on the Mozart composition "Rondo alla Turca." In 2003, during an interview, Dave Brubeck commented that "I should've just called it 'Blue Rondo', because the title just seemed to confuse people.
