Marco Bruno's artistry melds a multifaceted sonic and emotional landscape that is both diverse and pure. Originating from Apulia in Southern Italy, Marco began his creative journey spinning records at local clubs and exploring various artistic roles, including label management. This eclectic path eventually led him to prominent stages across Europe's most illustrious capitals. His connection to his hometown includes special side projects such as scoring theatrical soundtracks and participating in the renowned TEDx event series. In the club scene, he notably made his live debut at the legendary Tresor in Berlin, following years of honing his craft through DJ sets. Marco's music transcends strict genre boundaries, crafting unique soundscapes through various Electronic Music styles, distinguished by their emotive depth and versatility. His discography includes landmark releases on Helena Hauff's Return To Disorder, James Ruskin's Blueprint, and Ben Sims' esteemed labels Symbolism, Hardgroove, and Machine - a collaborative venture by Ben Sims & Kirk Degiorgio where he stands shoulder to shoulder with titans like Luke Slater, Robert Hood, Function, Oscar Mulero, and Steffi. His work also appears on Sunil Sharpe's Earwiggle, Truncate's label, Avoidant (Soma's Electro sub-label), Jazz O Tech, and Tape Tales, among others. Driven by relentless exploration, Marco launched his own label, "Evighet." This label is more than a music platform; it's an anthropological narrative exploring the evolution of human identity/personality over time. With Evighet, Marco intersects his discography with artists of the calibre of The Fear Ratio and articulates his vision of electronic music within an infinite temporal space. His label represents a bold expansion of Marco's storytelling and offers a profound and timeless interpretation of sound and self.

WAYS invites MARCO BRUNO | Podcast #005

For the last 7 years the Fast Forward Audio Series has been running, we have had the pleasure of presenting more than hundred different artists ranging with all from livesets, solo recordings and b2b sessions on it.
 It has been interesting to follow the journey of those artists from where they were then, and how their sound has evolved and influenced them and the scenes around.  

So for this 100th edition of the series we are very pleased to present yet another influential artist to you: TASHA

Tasha’s DJing style matches this textured background of her influences and has developed into a master-flow of form - weaving tunes together seamlessly from her bass informed home of the UK alongside four four techno forms born in Berlin and Detroit.  Her residency on Rinse FM Radio has been a backbone of Tasha’s approach as a DJ - expressing her appreciation for electronic music inviting guests in from all over the globe. 

 In 2016 Tasha launched the label Neighbourhood with Randomer, Cadans, Kamikaze Space Programme, Metrist and Forest Drive West all featuring to date, and the latest edition of the V/A compilation HIVE series has just released its third edition last month. 

In an industry where artists are asked to prioritise their art for social media presence, likes and other vacuous pursuits, Tasha is very much in demand for her ‘music first’ attitude, selection and ability.
A refreshing outlook and positive future awaits the DJ, producer, promoter and label owner.

Very excited to share this set, recorded live at the Colorfloor of Lofi during Coda on the final day of ADE 2024. The warm and smokey colorfloor set the tone. A mysterious and intimate atmosphere that I wanted to translate into this 3-hour journey.

I began with lighter, fast-paced rhythms, gradually adding layers of darker soundscapes and heavier kicks. As the set progressed, I switched to a more entrancing energy, building up to an atmosphere that felt both groovy and hypnotic. An ideal handover to Kia and Reptant, who followed after me.

It’s a tale often told: Sweden’s restrictive politics vis-à-vis raves have inadvertently created a fertile world on the fringes where many of the country’s talents have pushed their craft in an act of punkish rebellion. Having spent her teenage years collecting music (a habit inherited from a dad whose love of jazz, blues and folk left a lasting mark), Philippa Pacho discovered this hidden world of illegal gatherings, before trying her hand at spinning records and landing a residency at Stockholm’s storied Under Bron back in 2012. Berlin was soon in her sights, and it’s there she found a more recent base, her career heated up, and her (and Blue Hour’s) positivesource project came to light. From Bassiani to De School to Berghain, Philippa’s still going strong a decade in; and she does more than mix tracks, she crafts stories that drive a vision of music that gets both crowds and feelings off the ground. With her ballooning raft of rave-ready bookings past and present her name is a synonym for tripped-out full-tilt techno, if you’re already a fan you know the score. Zenaari Mix 014 presents another facet of her world, it’s a dreamlike 87 minute studio mix, a trip through ambient cityscapes and appraisal of a slower, stranger side of sound, kaleidoscopic bleeps from one of techno’s leading lights.
