We are delighted to welcome Dutch duo Engelbert with their brand-new 'Cosmos Descent EP' to ICONYC. The talented producer duo has been causing a stir within the scene with their unique and lasting productions. Engelbert developed an inimitable style of music, full of drive, paired with despondent and warm dreamy patterns that guided them to where he they are today and embodies the sound, they now personify. 
 
On his debut Engelbert lead with the outstanding 'Descent'; a stunning driving progressive house affair with some melodic techno elements for good measure. The track utilizes a deep groove as foundation, underpinned by a profound bass and driving synth chords that gradually ease their way to the summit. Unified by a deep kick drum and dusky atmospheric emotion, the composition climaxes by adding recurrent percussive elements and soft soaked melodies that come together to create a structured sphere of sonic satisfaction. Clever synth phrases complete the picture to create an ingeniously worked piece of art. 

The melodic soundscapes of the accompanying track 'Cosmos' rounds off this spectacular release. Engelbert's influences are immediately evident as subtle freeform concepts drift through percussive inspired instrumentations. Rippling melodies trip along a deep kick that anchors an auricular montage to create a special sonic infused moment, complemented by a stunning groove that is going to leave a mark on your aural perception. Stunningly textured pads that warm the soul and a strong melodic infused bassline provide the base for this inspired piece to play out in delayed glory. Essential stuff!

With Engelbert's brand-new outing on ICONYC, they take their talents a step further to round off this brilliant underground 2 track crowd pleaser. Started my love of music back when I went clubbing in London and Ibiza, went to the USA and as much as I loved it in the USA the clubbing just wasn’t like it was back in the uk. The British are some of the best music lovers and DJs.
My love of all sorts of music keeps me going now that I live back in England down in sunny Brighton. 
If I didn’t have my music I honestly don’t know what sort of a life I would have lived.  
I’ve never heard so much amazing music over the years.
