Following their collab on Enhanced Recordings with Juventa in 2012, Answer42 make their debut on Colorize with their latest Progressive House release, complete with not one, but two remixes.

‘Tumbleweed’ is a fantastic Deep House release, driven by pure groove and melody. It’s no doubt very different to Answer42’s previous productions, as the duo take on influences from Jazz, Electro, Progressive, Trance & House, making for a worthy studio experiment, and showcasing their versatile ability.

To complete the release package, ‘Tumbleweed’ see’s remixes from Colorize favourites Roddy Reynaert & Solid Stone. Whilst Reynaert takes a harder approach using pounding kicks and rigorous bass, Solid Stone builds a deep, well-rounded groove and homes in on a Progressive Trance twist – making for two very different versions of the already epic original.

An altogether brilliant release by Answer42!

Following his stunning 'Remember Me' EP which released earlier this year, Solid Stone makes his return to Colorize under his Diversion moniker with a beautiful progressive EP, 'Dustforce / Wear And Tear'.

'Dustforce' is the very definition of progressive; with warm pads and a simple yet melodic piano riff in the breakdown, this track has everything from an ambient atmosphere to playful basslines.

Solid Stone returns to Colorize under his Diversion alias, this time presenting the brilliant 'Underworld EP'.

As you would expect, here's a very accomplished release from start to finish, taking the listener on a truly progressive journey. 

'Underworld' - a favourite in Armin van Buuren's ASOT 650 warm up sets this year kicks things off in a fairly light tone with sun-kissed melodies and progressive FX, whilst 'The Man From The Moon' is a much deeper affair with dark rumbling bass and darting chords. 'Play Me' continues the journey with powerful progressive elements, sharp, atmospheric FX and beautifully captivating chords.

The talented Norwegian producer marks his return to ICONYC with his latest smash 'Swazi Pulp'.

Terje’s original uses rhythmic beeps and a mellow synth stab to create a driving rhythm before the atmospheric pads create a beautiful setting, which fires with all guns blazing to produce a club monster that growls. Combining the best of both worlds, Terje has come up with something unique and distinctive to make this release extra special.

Adding to our growing list of all-star remixes, we welcome Canadian Solid Stone who knows a thing or two when it comes to mind blowing reworks, turning his mix into an irresistible track using the original elements with perfection. Solid Stone layers more melodies and effects, whilst upping the flow with cleverly programmed percussion and his trademark FX elements, without destroying the essence of the original. Their rework deserves to be branded 'essential' in any sense of the word. 

The second remix comes courtesy of Alex Preda, who brings a more uplifting progressive edge to Swazi Pulp, as he layers more melodies and effects, whilst upping the energy with cleverly programmed percussion and his trademark bass. The track continues to build on a solid foundation of percussive grooves and harmonies before coming to its conclusion.

Terje's 2nd coming on ICONYC is an accomplished piece of work that highlights, that he is a true master of his craft. Massive stuff that is not to be missed!

RELEASE INFOS:

Sacha Robotti returns to Klasse Recordings with The Big Ol EP, this time showing a penchant for garage grooves, ghetto drums and great samples. Remixes come via Dance Mania legend Waxmaster Maurice and Raw House rookie Dudley Strangeways.
The Big Ol makes it's intention clear from the very start, this is a fun track with big grooves, high energy and a dose of humour to top it all off. Sacha combines drum machine lines with big band stabs and his signature reverb work to create a big party track thats guaranteed to set the roof on fire.

If there was ever an artist who deserved the whole 'no introduction needed' spiel it could easily be Dance Mania superstar Waxmaster Maurice. Maurice turns in a stomping ghetto house version, its frantic pace clocking in at three and half minutes. Using the original track as inspiration, Waxmaster uses his inimitable vocal style to coin new hooks and essentially create a whole new track.

Baldeelocks retains the Garage swing of the title track but heads into a whole new direction, pitched up drums and snare stabs sit on top of swathing string lines that pull the listener in. Once again, Mr. Robotti's sound-design production is the focal piece of the track, two beautiful breakdowns with detailed and considered work on the vocal parts that come in and out of the track.

We have been keeping a close eye on Dudley Strangeways for a while now and its a pleasure to welcome him to the Klasse crew. For his remix of Baldeelocks, Dudley strips everything down to its core, adding weight to the relentless beat of the drums. Drenching the FX in reverb and mixing in discordant patterns of vocals and pads, the remix provides the perfect fodder for those early hour after parties where only the strangest will do.
