Horizon is an electronic music project with cinematic accents, designed to offer an immersive experience, a journey through the galleries of imagination.

Composed of five tracks, this EP invites the listener to explore new worlds, sometimes real, often fictional, and at times far removed from our everyday life.

Each track is conceived as a soundtrack that could enhance images,
leaving everyone free to create their own narrative, inspired by these immersive soundscapes.

Through ethereal atmospheres, ethnical layers and deep rhythms, Lodzy offers a moment of active pause, an escape to the unknown, where we take the time to observe and let ourselves be guided by a simple horizon line.

An introspective adventure, evoking dreamlike scenes filled with poetry and mystery.

Fideles and Kellerkind cross paths into a split EP consisting of six original tracks showcasing their individual yet complemental production styles.

Haptic’s murmuring vocals are at the center of Vitamins, a playful exploration of fluid atmospherics.  A clanging bassline provides the backdrop for whirlwinding synths, as the vocals build up an enveloping, dance-inducing tension. Wave Echoes kicks in lively from the get go: a relentless, steady percussion tied into a wandering baseline are the constant mainstays. The melody slowly develops as a fuzzy wandering pad adds another dimension, equally spacious as it is heavy.

Carving light with synth sweeps and spacious reverb, Illumino takes shape as a deep tech introspection. Accented with whirring bits and maintaining an elated undertone, it effectively embodies the ever-ascending, never-releasing groove that’s perfect for peak time hours.

Kellerkind steps up to the plate with Subzero, a slice of cavernous dub tech. Breathy vocals and sparse ethereal elements set a dreamy mood. Underlined by smooth piano chords, the vocal develops into a full fledged hymn that is both emotive and mesmerising. For his second take, the Swiss producer embarks on a techno tinged journey. Opting for distorted synths and a stomping bassline, he aptly crafts a near dungeon-like atmosphere only sweetened by a lush female vocal. Teaming up with Sven, they offer up Shakti Pan, a meeting point between tribal infused percussion and deep-set riffs. Hollowed out drums and bells chimes touch on chorus vocals and manage to create a highly immersive experience, rounding off the release on an uplifting note.

Fideles feat. Haptic – Vitamins [Snippet]

Nurturing and promoting fresh and exciting talents has always been an integral part of the Proton Music mission statement. With the Netherlands a creative hotbed for the entire dance music industry, it is therefore with great pleasure that we welcome Deeparture to the label with his outstanding "Flight of Imagination" EP.

From the cultural hub, Amsterdam resident, Dominique Vijverberg, has risen rapidly among the ranks of the underground dance community in double quick time. Carefully building a reputation for exquisitely crafted and innovatively programmed dance music, using his Deeparture production soubriquet, Vijverberg, has already caught the attention of the industry's most celebrated names.

Early work for a clutch of imprints saw the Dutch producer dabble in the world of electronic music. However, it was with the airline industry inspired, "Purcer EP", for Dutch imprint, WEITER, in March 2017, that the Deeparture sound really began as Vijverberg took centre stage. Commanding attention with a pair of tracks that have been supported by the likes Hernan Cattaneo, Guy Mantzur and fellow countryman, Eelke Kleijn, the Deeparture name took off with soaring success.

With a forthcoming release on Cinematique to come, Proton Music now opens the door on a promising new career for the Dutch talent, as the twin track "Flight of Imagination" EP showcases Deeparture's extraordinary talent.

Inspired by a holiday in the central Cuban city, "Trinidad" is full of the joyous melodic flair that has become a staple of the Deeparure sound. A sunlit vocal phrase combines with melodic riffs and sequences in a rich blend of counterpoint. Coupled with a dominant beat and open hi-hat percussive rhythm, a soaring breakdown provides the perfect counterweight for a grooving dance floor gem.

Partner track, "Dreamliner", takes its vision from the Boeing 787 aircraft of the same name. Similarly redolent in the percussive groove of its predecessor, a melodic riff full of earworm ingenuity sits alongside elegant chord progressions and sublime floor-filling bass line. As the melodic sequences evolve across the seven-minute flight, Deeparture's skill is brought fully to the fore in a work that is replete with a joyous vibrancy that epitomises his technique and flair.

Deeparture's "Flight of Imagination" is sure to signal a voyage of success with two tracks of the highest quality.

Netherlands native Dominique Vijverberg, or Deeparture, reveals ‘Cabin Pressure’ on Poesie, a three-track affair including a remix form the one and only Nils Hoffmann. 
Jumping right into the main track, we’re greeted with a stunning electric warmth. Smooth and sensual, the track’s vibe injects all corners of the floor with bright pads, hypnotic rhythms and some very effective vocal sampling. Nils Hoffmann shakes us awake with his remix next. Big kicks and a dark atmosphere tell us we’re in for a ride. Nils track stomps straight into techno territory with a gritty energy. Finally we come the ‘Economy Comfort’, a warm upbeat approach with a steady pulse of energy. This track thrives in the sunshine with its airy and bright ambience while bouncing along a tech-house soundscape.
