We are honored here at Musicis4Lovers.com to be able to host the new remix from Nu and Acid Pauli of Daniel Bortz's beautiful composition, "The Misery feat. Nils Corssen". 

Daniel Bortz isn't a big fan of reckless experiments. A fact that makes this new release even more remarkable: he's breaking his own rule of not having his own tracks remixed.

Needless to say, he didn't just pick anyone to get this job done. His choice fell on some highly esteemed friends and colleagues, resulting in a quite remarkable package.

Acid Pauli and Nu give us their interpretation of “The Misery”, using Nils Corssen´s voice as a hook lead element, never losing the melancholy vibe of the original and still putting it into a rather dancefloor-compatible context.

Swiss music producer Thom Nagy - @thomnagy - released his "Damals" EP last year. The compilation involved his distinctive broad sounds, fluttering synths and warm subtly-applied basses. The EP's three tracks have now been remixed and will be published as Basel-based Gelbes Billet Musik's 30th release on April 30th, 2014.

Der Schweizer Musikproduzent Thom Nagy - @thomnagy - brachte im vergangenen Jahr seine EP "Damals" raus. Die Zusammenstellung bestand aus seinen charakteristischen, weiten Hallräumen, flatternden Synths und warmen, subtil eingesetzten Bässen. Die drei Werke der EP wurden nun geremixed und am 30. April 2014 auf dem Label auf dem Label Gelbes Billett Musik, das in Basel sitzt, als 30. Katalognummer veröffentlicht. Legends collide in this brand new Perfecto Records release. Paul Oakenfold joins forces with Joyriders and the mighty Ce Ce Peniston (of Finally fame) to create a monster deep house, vocal hit - The DJ Made Me Stay. Following on from the successes of Paul’s recent future house releases, which saw him deliver smooth remixes of You Could Be Happy (featuring Angela McCluskey) and DedRekoning’s Only Child (with the one and only Sophie Ellis-Bextor on vocals) - The DJ Made Me Stay is the first of Paul’s original tracks in this vibe and it looks set to be a firm favourite with house DJs the world over for the remainder of 2015. 

Cool house interpretations come in the form of mixes from super talented Layout (watch out for a huge original coming from him in early 2016) and Who Else – while Mia Dahli provides a truly energetic trance take.

After his stellar Nunchi EP via Moodmusic label last year, ED ED is back at it again with his standout follow up, the Namaimo EP.

ED ED aka Edmond Weinfeld is the Berlin based on OFF recordings releasing producer. He's also had a big single on Defected’s DFTD last year and also A&Rs for the Berlin-based Moodmusic label.  Featured on his Namaimo release are four cuts of absorbing house music which marks his most impressive work to date. His ‘Starsign’ track marries deep hitting drums with explosive melodies, blasts of frazzled synths, and plenty of colorful intergalactic soul.

ED ED is Edmond Weinfeld, a Berlin based producer who has also released on OFF, had a big single on Defected’s DFTD last year and also A&Rs for the Moodmusic  label. His music roams from deep house to techno and back again and he places great emphasis on clean lines, vibrant bass and a cool sense of energy, as this new and mature musical work proves.

After the stellar Nunchi EP on the Moodmusic label last year, the ever more acclaimed ED ED is now back with his standout follow up, the Namaimo EP. Up first is the tantalising title track, a broody seven minute opus defined by its big bold bass strokes. Slick percussion and rolling kicks form the groove down below, but that bass is what sticks out, as well as some lithe and sci-fi synths that perform acrobatics up top.

The striking ‘Sentinel’ is our Debut Transmission today and proves ED ED can programme tight, corrugated drum lines and crisp, snapping perc that makes you want to dance a physical dance, and when the tender male vocals come in you really are carried away to a better place. Last but not least, ‘Starsign’ marries deep house drums with explosive and starry melodies, big blasts of frazzled synth and plenty of colourful intergalactic soul. It’s a real head turner, for sure.

This EP is a fine statement of intent and is one that will move DJs and dancers in emotive ways.
