“Sunset“ and “Sunrise“ letting you feel the power of drums and kicks in a clean version. “Lost Soul“ is more melodic and decorated with soft synths. The shaker is breathless and it seems like THe WHite SHadow collected all pent up emotions in that song. We have “Last“ sounding really metallic and unique. A lot of elements fighting against each other to end up in a magic break.

On top Dutch producer Olivier Weiter serves us a straight and uncompromising remix which will rock the dancefloor with it’s simple and catchy atmosphere. Welcome back in the club, we’ll guide you through the new season.

We are proud to introduce you “Kitties On Trance”, the first mixed compilation with all exclusive tracks, never released before. Coyu and Suara’s team selected a bunch of great tracks of pretty big artists from the scene (eventhough a lot of them do not know it, they do trance, too) and Olivier Giacomotto selected 12 of them for a 83 minutes journey plenty of many trance styles: house or techno, but trance; deep or vigorous, but trance; acid, dark, fun, mellow, but trance. To complete this amazing work, Olivier did two exclusive tracks, one of them produced together with Kiko.

But, what is the definition of “trance” for Coyu? “For me trance is Frankfurt, it is Harthouse, it is the 90s. But...also today, in 2015, it is Dixon, Adam Beyer, Tale Of Us… Trance is not just a style but a state of mind. Trance is spirituality, it's a piercing, poignant and boundless melody, it is escaping from your comfort zone. Beginning with Overcoming The Monster, Chapter 24 has gathered artists from across the globe to bring these themes to life for its Seven Stories VA series.

Up-and-coming Dutch producer and Paradigm resident Malbetrieb (SoHaSo, Selador) opens proceedings with ‘Epic’. Fiendish acid licks intertwine with soaring vocal pads and uplifting top lines in a driving, melodic track.

One of the biggest producers in Ukraine, Stas Drive (Hope, Sudbeat) is up next with the titanic ‘Aphrodite’. A tribal tech groove pounds forth, underpinned by brooding and mysterious atmospheres.

Enter Dragon Suplex, a twin-headed tune producing beast from Switzerland who deliver the third track with ‘Mystified’ feat. Samzing. Another behemoth, this one is equally dark and banging, bringing a good dose of tension to proceedings.

As the compilation advances to its denouement, a little brightness starts to pierce through the storm clouds. Hailing from Peru, a breeding ground for young talent in the underground house scene, Frank Serin strikes a more hopeful tone with ‘La Sonrisa de la Mujer’.

‘Somnium’ by the London-based Chapter 24 boss Sam Pauli and label regular Reiver enhances the dreaminess on offer. A drifty, hypnotic and emotive cut unfolds into a tremendous, musical break.

Finally, the compilation ends with a focus on French producer Anton Dhouran. Having already been signed by Diynamic and with music forthcoming on Jeudi Records, Anton deploys his considerable skills on ‘Meyah’, a deep, groove-laden number enhanced by ethereal pads. The real story, however, comes with ‘A Kind Of Light’ which closes the narrative with a heroic instrumental tale.

Classically trained instrumentalist and Cocoon alum Malandra Jr. kicks off proceedings on a dynamic note with a pair of blissed-out tracks featuring blossoming synths, supple drums and whirring glitches. Citizen Kain follows suit with two energy-loaded numbers, the more dreamy and spaced out 'Crush', followed by the vocal-heavy 'Balance'. Next up is German producer Heerhorst who takes a turn for deep and pensive melodies with 'Centaurus', while 'Hydra' stands out with powerful synths and a rattling beat. Bold, intense synths are also at the core of Transcode’s 'String Theory' and 'Molecular Cloud', with the former offering a massive breakdown fit for peak time, and the latter a more resolute atmosphere overall. In the release’s final quarter, we find Olivier Giacomotto with two tribal-tinged constructions, the slow burner 'Moonshine', and its more unhinged counterpart, 'Bonobo'. Made in Paris rounds off the Trip with a couple of stirring slices brimful of radiating synths and spacious breakdowns.

All in all, a steady trickle of dancefloor-primed pieces setting off sparks of all the different types of energy needed to sustain a coalescent set.
