Premiere: Sinfol & Octual - Pale Blue Dot

When Dave Seaman & Steve Parry first spoke about starting a record label together, one of their motivating factors was to create a prestigious platform on which they could also release their own productions. And so, following Steve’s massive ‘Apricity’ release earlier this year, it’s now Dave’s turn to abuse his position of label boss and drop his own new single, ‘Nightfalls’.

It’s his third outing on Selador following 2014’s brace of ‘Naughty Forest’ and ‘Justified Replacement Of Lulu’ and by sheer coincidence, also happens to be Selador’s 50th release. Anybody would think we’d planned it that way! 

The original production is centred around vocal flourishes from Ananda Project’s millennium classic ‘Cacades Of Colour’ and sees Dave in classic mode embracing both Techno and Tech House stylings to deliver a thoroughly modern hybrid. 

We then call upon three giants of the remix world to sprinkle their magic on proceedings. First up Lee Van Dowski stays pretty close to the original arrangement but ramps up the energy levels to bursting point. Anthem alert! 

Next, Chymera gets all deep and sophisticated with a blissed out interpretation that has neck hairs standing to attention and shivers cascading down the spine. Heavenly doesn’t even cover it. 

And topping things off, new kids on the block, OC & Verde deliver a certified Tech House monster. This one goes straight for the jugular from the off and never lets up. Straight up, peak time. 

And with that, our 50th release comes to fruition and we’re proud as proverbial punch. Infact, we even go as far as to say we’re starting to get the hang of this label lark. A big thank you to everyone who’s got us this far. 
Half-a-century, not out. And we’re only just getting started!

After the success of the A Sides Parts 1 to 3 releases it’s with great pleasure that we can now present our next release to you from Wehbba, making his Elevate debut in the form of the excellent ‘The Observer EP’.

This 3 track release from the super talented Brazilian producer who is based in Barcelona follows on from releases on other esteemed labels such as Tronic, Systematic, Bedrock and Transmit records and boy has he given Elevate some absolute corkers here.

The title track of the EP is ‘Observer’ with it’s hypnotic swung moody grooves giving off dark and edgy vibes that builds and builds with an acid tinged stacatto hook throughout that really gives the dancfloor a good workout. Next up is 'Lake Ghost’ which is a much more four to the floor driving percussive track with a melodic arpeggio that just keeps on layering and layering over the track. 'Step Up' does just that with its big room sounds and stomping kick with thumping sub bass stabs, this is a real banger to finish off with.

All in all an EP with something for everyone that just oozes the production talent synonymous with Wehbba. Enjoy

Guy J’s Lost & Found is riding high in 2016 with its flow of exceptional releases that now continue with an amazing new production talent coming out of the vibrant Argentinian scene. Kevin Di Serna makes his Lost & Found debut here with two gorgeous tracks. Fresh from releases on Alola, SexOnWax, Subtract, and (of course) fellow countryman and superstar DJ Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat label, Kevin’s releases have been on Guy J’s radar for quite some time, so it was only a matter of time before Lost & Found’s main man would choose to release some amazing music that fits perfectly with the label’s ethos.

Fellow rising Argentinian star, Ditian, has teamed up with his compatriot on ‘Crystal Forest’ to create a beautifully melodic track with shimmering flourishes and a lovely, deeply hypnotic groove, which is perfectly suited to those wonderful summer sunshine moments. This delightful track is complimented by the deeper reverence and more laidback sounds of ‘Dallah’, which is an enthralling solo effort by Kevin.

Lost & Found is steadily building a catalogue of releases that are uniquely joyous, uplifting, intelligent and beautiful. This is music to hold close to your heart and this is a label that everyone should, most definitely, always keep on their music radar.
