We are happy to welcome Maceo Plex to Drumcode with the fourth instalment of his Conjure series, ‘Conjure Infinity’. Featuring two tracks ‘Conjure Dreams’ and ‘Conjure Floyd’, both are peak time monsters that introduce two very different elements. ‘Conjure Dreams’ utilises a groovy, melodic bass that is reinforced using tight thumping drums to shatter any dance floor into the universe. ‘Conjure Floyd’ builds into a more ‘heads down’ techno vibe with a very interesting breakdown. Adam Beyer’s Drumcode juggernaut attracts more fans and critical plaudits with each passing year. Holding firm on its future facing ethos, techno’s number one label presents a new volume in its acclaimed A-Sides series with 20 prime tracks to signify its 20th anniversary. 

Such is the volume of quality music Adam Beyer receives throughout the course of the year, releasing all of it would be impossible. Enter the blue chip A-Sides series: a chance for the quality-obsessive label head to issue a collection of outstanding tracks that couldn’t fit in their regular EP release schedule. 

With an eye on future talent, as much as the label’s established roster of heavy-hitters, the compilation showcases the full breadth of Drumcode’s multifaceted techno sound, equal parts inspiring and functional. 

Led by the stealth techno funk of ‘Nine of You’, Beyer’s deft collaboration with Mark Reeve, the compilation takes in exciting highlights from big guns such as Alan Fitzpatrick, Dustin Zahn, Bart Skils, Pleasurekraft, Luca Agnelli, Jay Lumen, Kaiserdisco and Gary Beck. 

The rich vein of form displayed by emerging techno talent is similarly given prime position. Rising DJ/producer Boxia makes his Drumcode debut, fresh from a well-received warm up set for the crew at the hugely successful Junction 2 festival in London, while the likes of Enrico Sangiuliano, Juan Sanchez, Ian O’Donovan and Timmo also drop fire, establishing their credentials as some of the most promising talent breaking through the ranks in 2016. 

Reinforcing the global scope of the label, artists such as The Junkies from Toronto and Layton Giordani from New York, prove techno is winning a place in the heart of the new generation of artists coming out of North America.

Massimiliano Pagliara debuts on Ostgut Ton with his new EP, Time And Again.
Born and raised in the deep south of Italy Massimiliano Pagliara made his way to Berlin in 2001, quickly diving headfirst into the German capital’s club scene (particularly Berghain’s predecessor club, OstGut) until he started DJing in 2003. By the time of his joining with Ostgut Booking agency in October 2015 Massi had already constantly delivered – the DJ and producer has left a strong mark on House music throughout the years with energetic, playful and deep sets behind the decks, two acclaimed solo albums on Live At Robert Johnson and various collaboration projects. His residency at Panorama Bar therefore was a no-brainer – but the musical link by one of House music’s finest with the club’s label was still missing. Now Massi steps up with four new tracks and his first release on Ostgut Ton.
Heavily influenced by classic Chicago House, Electro and early Disco music Massi’s new EP serves as a cross-section of his musical interest as a producer and sonic palette as a selector. Working with vintage studio gear, analogue synthesizers and classic drum machines, his Time And Again EP is as warm and soulful as it’s lush and bursting with strength.

Florian Meindl surges ahead in 2017 as he returns once more to his home
base FLASH Recordings. He has been locked away in his studio and is now
ready to unleash his new album ‘Time Illusion’. With these album sessions
Florian has created a special collection of analogue focused tracks which will
be released on a double vinyl album and digitally in the Spring.

Amalgamating his array of impressive hardware, he has refined his sound and
crafted a selection of tracks that demonstrate intricate knowledge and mastery
of his analogue equipment. His aim was to find the right balance between
musical depth and sound design while interacting with the hardware.

In anticipation for the LP release in early April, Florian has prepared a unique
live set featuring a Modular System, the KORG Minilogue, effect boxes and a
909 drum machine which were used in the creation of the album and which he
will be touring throughout 2017.

In such good shape nowadays, Oliver Deutschmann delivers an outstanding remix of Acid On Mars pushing the limits of Warehouse Techno & Jackin' House faded with warm & hypnotic Detroit chords and space-pads.

As the name indicates, Minneapolis legend Freddy Fresh delivers an Ethereal Mix of Before Deep full of nostalgic dreamy synths reminding us of his 1995 'Return To Phantazia' vibes.

Last one is coming from prolific ASOK bringing a raw and banging rework of Be Apart based on 808 electro beats & breaks combined with a crunchy bassline.

Berlin based DJ, producer and label owner Oliver Deutschmann announces his debut album. 'Out of the Dark', will be released on vidab records in March, 2013. 
Oliver runs vidab with label partner Stephan Hill, together curating an impressive catalogue of quality, raw and analog-infused house and techno. He also created the Falkplatz label as a further outlet for his energetic A&R tendencies.
Firmly established in the underground, Deutschmann has stood behind his unique brand of 4/4 beats for more than a decade; a permanent fixture at Panorama Bar for over 4 years with his dubby, pushing house vibes, old school drums, intense peaks and driving modern dramatics. 
Developing a strong signature sound, Oliver translates real emotion and atmosphere into his productions, with bold, crisp and powerful drums, resonant, textural synthlines and a stylish talent for keeping things locked down to hypnotising effect. 
Each element coming to life through his analog recording chain, the results we find on '… Dark' are Deutschmann's most precise, powerful and honest yet. From the bold intro of 'Fever', with its soaring 80s synth vibes, a string of incredibly crisp tracks unfolds, reaching early heights with the futuristic story telling of 'New World Order', then swooping into the depths with the melancholic 'Sadness Descends'.
The first single to be released from the album will be three remixes. This pre-release single will be packaged with reworks from fellow vidab conspirators Tomas Svensson, Hiver and Stephan Hill.
One of his first releases on vidab, 'Siem Reap' receives a new treatment for 2013 and comes on as strong as ever, an exercise in reduction in the classic Detroit-meets-Berlin tradition. While 'L.O.V.E' employs a similar heads-down approach, yet at a slower pace, creating one of the most heated club moments on the album.
Binding it all together is Oliver's distinctive use of building synth lines, each carefully tuned synth melody filtering, overlapping and shimmering through the lovingly produced tracks. 'Die Tiefe' is a perfect example of this then, or the surging epitaph of 'They Bleed Glitter', with its tearily beautiful and simple wash of synth melodies.
'Out of the Dark' is Oliver's personal response to the world around him. Indeed, its a tough world sometimes, and just like the music within, we're often reminded it can be a beautiful, and inspiring one too.
Oliver Deutschmann kicks things off with the official release party at Panorama Bar on February 24th 2013 - the album tour will then run throughout the summer.
