With both acts coming off the back of triumphant finishes to 2014 - the success of Locked Groove's huge Enigma EP and Mind Against's surge into #33 position in Resident Advisor's 2014 DJ poll - 'Elysium / Pulsar' marks the first time the producers have collaborated. The end result combines Locked Groove's punchy, dancefloor-ready aesthestic and the emotionally resonant melodics that Mind Against have made their signature since breaking through with Life And Death in 2013.

We're willing to put good money on Dixon's remix of 'The Dawn' being a staple of his summer sets this year and it's a pretty good bet. 

His remix puts a growling, fierce new take on the original and he swaps delicate tones for rumbling bass hits and synths that propel and drive the track forward with an intensity only he can conjure up.

An outstanding EP all round and a remix from Dixon that ranks as one of his best to date.

Night Noise returns with a new release from ’The Soviet Union' aka Richard Baldwin. Baldwin has a signature style that is cinematic and synth heavy and has been formed over the last decade plus. A fine DJ, experienced promoter and self-confessed addict of vintage analogue synthesizers and drum machines, Richard pulls his influences from early electronica, 80s film-scores, and shades of techno right up to the present day.
This release sees 'The Soviet Union' drawing on all their influences to craft a rugged slice of electronica. 'Emptyhead' is the track and it features additional remixes from Mind Fair, Dance Station and Ondata plus a dub mix from 'The Soviet Union' All in this is another fantastic release from `The Soviet Union' and will only further enhance his growing fan base.

Get ready for the Overkill - literally! Jannowitz Records has prepared the ultimate EP, compiled of five main time dance floor fillers by no one less than JAW label boss BOHO himself. For this particular release - which by the way is going to be the last of the imprint's most successful year in history - BOHO asked new and old friends, artists that see looks up to, sees as inspiration, just discovered recently or has been signing on Jannowitz Records for years. To put it as simple as possible: Overkill EP is a compilation of five thoroughly selected co-productions.For the first track BOHO invited one of his favourite Berlin-based producers to the studio. Kaiser Souzai doesn't need any introduction. As founder of Ballroom records he has been shaping Germany's electronic music scene for quite some time, providing clubs everywhere with one Beatport chart success after the other. On Jannowitz Records he made his debut as remixer for BOHO's first EP last year, right before releasing his own Road to Asia EP. This year we saw him remixing Maksim Dark's Industrial Strength which was an absolute banger as well. Now Kaiser is back! BOHO x Kaiser Souzai - Texel is a true techno bomb that lives off the certain drive Kaiser Souzai is known for and BOHO's proper signature kick. With Brazilian superstar duo TouchTalk and Light Breath there are two more artists that have been working closely with Jannowitz Records. The former had already contributed Drifter EP this year, the latter firstly appeared on the label back in 2016 with a stellar remix for Cliff De Zoete. Both their tracks with BOHO highlight the sexy side of electronic music in very different but in a way similar approaches. BOHO x TouchTalk - Wet Pants will make you wet your pants with its peak time potential and big room flair. BOHO x Light Breath on the other hand is way deeper and darker for those of you who enjoy the typical Jannowitz sound. To make the Overkill complete, BOHO collaborated with two new faces for this outstanding release. You might know SlikNik from his live project GRAU or his collaborations with the likes of Crystal Castles or Motoboy. Erotica was created in summer studio session when SlikNik and BOHO officially met for the first time and immediately clicked. Working on this track felt natural to both artists and suddenly, after hours of deep focus and creative exchange the track was born and got already tested on that same night in Berlin's infamous Sisyphos club. And finally, for Nicer Dicer BOHO teamed up with Rachel Raw who not only is BOHO's life companion but also the label head of Jannowitz' sister label JAW Dropping Records. Both bosses fused their musical energy and produced what now is one of the grooviest and wildest tracks of the year. We got our first taste of the Irishman’s exhilarating talents when he debuted on Truesoul back in April with ’50 First Raves’. His unique alchemy of house, techno and rave has seen him become one of the breakout stars of 2019 and ensured he’s stayed firmly on the radar of Adam Beyer.

Inspired by his experiences at Drumcode’s now-legendary party at Space Miami during WMC, Rebūke’s DC debut encompasses all the dynamic energy of his previous contributions, with peak-time pounding effect. ‘Rattle’ leads the trio, a cut voraciously track I.D’d by Rebūke’s fanbase and highly anticipated across the industry after a high-impact play during Radio 1’s Weekender in Ibiza. The track pops with the producer’s trademark rubbery rhythms, pin-sharp drums, intermittent rave horns and a wicked acid line, culminating in a high-octane trip that’s one of the most thrilling we’ve heard on DC this year. ‘Operator’ spits fierce drum sequences before a tweaked-out bass melody grows with undulating intensity giving the track it’s shining character. ‘Metal’ builds with intergalactic stabs and claps before a menacing low-end melody enters the fore and his signature percussion gives the track an otherworldly tribal crunch.

The second track on the EP, ‘Make The Call,’ is an easy avenue to get the party thriving with a blowing sax melody and complex groovy rhythms. McGinley is sure to keep classic vibes on this track, featuring a snippet from Armand Van Helden’s 1996 ‘Work Me Goddamit.’ Steadily driving the dancefloor and satisfying the chill and jacking house lover alike, this track is an essential listen.

This aptly titled EP is the debut release on the newborn label Sofia.  Founded by Strahil Velchev and Konstantin Petrov, Sofia is not only the physical location where this music was made, the city where they met and developed as artists, but also a paradox that is reflected in the art and music that comes from the place. Beautiful and ugly at the same time, clean and dirty, brutal as well as romantic, it’s a place where aesthetically seemingly incompatible styles come together in a twisted, yet unifying form. The photographs for the sleeves are made by influential local selector DJ Valentine, effortlessly capturing the local reality.

Those pieces of a paradox also are reflected in the music. The typical fine-grit of KiNK’s production skills meets his love for the elements of surprise and the classic building blocks and plaster of house and techno to create something that is very much his own, while breathing the spirit of early days and pioneering times. Hinged just before and after peak time, the tracks on this EP are cohesive, made to last and rounded off by the contemplativeness of yet another collaboration with Rachel Row called „The Beauty“. The first of many to come.

'Montreal's very own Fabrikate are set to release their disco infused "Made Me Feel" album this fall out on Kookoo Records, taking a trip back in time to the 70s where platform shoes, elaborate outfits, glitter and that four-to-the-floor sound dominated night clubs all over North America. The duo have curated their interpretation of what disco means to them, by merging their house music and disco influences into what feels to be their own unique powerful sound. Having both grown up in musical households with parents who immersed them into disco music, it naturally became their calling to reimagine the nostalgic sounds of the soundtracks of their childhoods into Avantgarde dance music. 

'Love Was Real' will be the first single off the album out on November 1! We now present to you Fabrikate's 'Made Me Feel' album - which brings all the elements of funk, soul and house music together.  

Kicking off the album is 'It's Coming Down' with its eccentric disco intro, which drops into a heavy baseline ready to permeate the dance floor, 'Into The Ground'  is a booty shaker with its hard hitting bass and intricate tech-house elements, 'Love Was Real' shouts all things 70s with its high energy, trumpets, and luscious orchestral arrangements, 'On and On' executes with its high-hats and a strong escapist vocalist on the record, 'Flame' has all the retro attributes of the disco days with groovy funky reverb vocals...

Hot Creations welcome back the dynamic Shadow Child to drop heavyweight single The DBG, his first full release on the label since his earlier acclaimed remixes of Hot Natured and Miguel Campbell. Prolific techno producer Mark Broom also provides a compelling remix.

Thudding kicks launch The DBG paired with eccentric, fizzing electronics that bubble alongside, before reaching a midpoint climax, unfurling into a colossal bassline. Mark Broom adds his groove-laden techno stamp on the remix, transforming it with energetic hats, soulful vocals, horns and hints of the buzzing high pitched synth of the original. On Get Busy finely tuned 909 and 707 drum patterns interlock with a dancing acid synth line.

Having an already genre-bending catalogue of original works and remixes, Shadow Child's music has recently hit labels such as Unknown to the Unknown, Ovum and Super Rhythm Trax. He also has a bi-weekly radio slot on Rinse FM, a Wednesday slot shared with Mall Grab, and has graced the airwaves there for over 6 years.
