NOOD5 features contributions from six friends of the Noods family, consisting of Berlin based techno iconoclast Ossia, shadowy Bristol producer fresh from a highly acclaimed EP on Berceuse Heroique, Pessimist, Timedance affiliate Cleyra, Milanese sound experimentalist Katatonic Silentio, Rio underground lynchpin and RBMA graduate Valesuchi and a collaboration from Dekmantel’s Epsilove and the elusive Ployer Fower.

The record is a confident assertion of the station’s sonic ethos; filled with tense, dread-laden soundscapes that foreground the percussion and sub bass. Reverbs and delays are utilised in the true dub tradition, wringing out unconventional grooves from the negative space between the drums: it’s music for the head and the body.

Originally intended to be released on our fifth birthday hence the name, fuck it — the pandemic slowed much down so have it on our sixth birthday instead.

The illustrious Abu Ama lets loose on Accidental Meetings with a 9 track LP, manifesting his trademark distorted dubwise style, with traditional folk song throughout.

Following wzrdyAV's sublime 'Midnight Visions' we're so, so excited to welcome Abu to the label for AM002. An unbelievable artist and person, we're honoured to have him on AM.
Abu who lives in West Germany showcases his whole repertoire throughout the 9 tracks with a selection of new and old, past and present.

His field recordings are scattered over the album and his rumbling bass is ever present, traditional folk songs dip in and out of the album all brought together in Abu's signature dub-wise style.

Mika Oki is a visual artist, Dj and producer born in Paris.

With a background in sculpture and electro-acoustic music, she explores the notion of intangible spaces and emotional landscapes through AV installations, music and mixes.

As a DJ, Mika Oki knows how to surprise the dance floor with a selection ranging from jungle, uk bass and gqom to dark electro, mesmerising trance and heavy EBM. By animating a wide range of voice samples, experimental sounds and electroacoustic music extracts, she plays like a sculptor with a duty to create an unsettling atmosphere.

Noria Lilt

The wait is finally over and we are beyond thrilled to have our next artist on the series; enter Noria Lilt (*1994, Fribourg, Switzerland). She has been immersed in a musical and cultural environment since her earliest years. Growing up in a musician family and first training as a multimedia designer, she later graduated from the Bern University of the Arts with a Bachelor of Sound Arts.

Heavily influenced by dance music and rave culture, Noria Lilt combines a bursting mix of the most heterogeneous electronic inspirations. From clubs to art centers and other live scenes, her practice oscillates between djing, live, composition and production, audiovisual installations, and multichannel pieces. Her production and composition process tends towards acousmatic and experimental music, with a delicate and unique sound design.
All of these experiences and carefully weighted nuances are on display on her brilliant debut EP “The Insiders of the In-Between” including remixes by MSJY and Atrice on strecke records. 

TRNSTN RADIO co-founder, Kapitel Bollwerk resident DJ, SMEM coordinator: she is an important figure and an active member of Switzerland's cultural, nightlife, and musical scenes. In all her facets, she presents powerful messages and we are ecstatic to find out what is next on her journey.
