Since the release of her 2013 breakout Pushin’ Against A Stone, June has been patiently at work in the garden of song, nurturing seedlings with love and care into the lush bloom that is her stunning new album, The Order Of Time. Some songs grew from seeds planted more than a decade ago, others blossomed overnight when she least expected them to, but every track bears the influence of time. See, time has been on June’s mind a lot lately. It’s the only constant in life, even though it’s constantly changing. It’s the healer of all wounds, the killer of all men. It’s at once infinite and finite, ever flowing with twists and turns and brutal, churning rapids that give way to serene stretches of placid tranquility. Songs of struggle, loneliness, love and lust. Yet it is far from a typical Blues band. A heavy dose of Motown and just enough gritty Rock & Roll is there to keep the listener’s heart pumping. 

On stage Jim’s intensity is like a man possessed, his soulful baritone voice juxtaposed against cutting vintage guitar tones. Tying the melodies together is the silky-smooth saxophone of Bobby Sewerynek. The backbeat is solidly held down by Dwayne Lau’s growling basslines and Shawn Royal’s unmistakably solid meter and slick groove. When you see Jim Dan Dee, you get it, and their electric energy on-stage will leave you craving more.

“Real Blues”, the band’s second album, released on May 13th, 2022, presents an honest and raw portrait of the band’s musical Blues and Rock influences. We tried for a no overdubs approach whenever possible; listeners will get about as close as they can to the live band experience without leaving their homes. We really wanted this album to breathe; all the squeaks, breaths, clicks and buzzes remain on record, so the quiet moments have a life of their own.  We really put our soul into this album. We hope you are going to love it.
