RES 01 - Chris Scott

David Hernandez, born in Las Palmas (Gran Canaria, Spain), started DJing in 1999. Since then, he has been an influential part of many of the events and clubs in The Canary Islands.  In addition to DJing, David introduced himself as a promoter in 2011, creating Guateque. 

In 2012 he took the reins as resident DJ at Escena, playing alongside some of the biggest names in electronic music like Roman Flügel, John Talabot, Äme, HVOB, WhoMadeWho, Gerd Janson, Isolée or Marcellus Pittman. 

In 2020 he launches his own record label "One Hour Less" releasing an EP from himself under his aka Dunes.  His DJ sets present sounds between house and techno, influenced by disco, Detroit and Chicago style.

'Count Me Out' is the 4th release on Unfound Sounds, a new UK imprint founded by JOBE. This release is more dance floor focussed, delivering 4 heaters of vary styles, showcasing his ability to create diverse sounds, suitable for various points in the evening. Unfound Sounds is a platform for JOBE to release his own music primarily, but he also plans to sign music from other artists as the label continues to build on its momentum.

Exclusive: Sexy Lazer - Fluting In Space (Axel Boman Remix)

Danish Dynamite they call call their national football team. Dynamite we call Copenhagen-based artist Sexy Lazer's latest EP on Riotvan Mr. Lava Lava, which probably namely orientates itself towards Shaggy's Reggae ear worm Mr. Bombastic from 95. However, rumors have it that Reggae and Dub-love Axel Boman took on remix duties for Sexy Lazer's track Fluting In Space for exactly those "shagging" reasons. The result is a smoking, pardon fluting downtempo track that prepares one for cosmic experiences within its five minutes living up the expectations the track title suggests. Additionally, Boman slows down the vocals, if not to say he reworks them in good ol' DJ Screw-manner, making them a tempo-wise as well as a musically fit for his approach and ultimately delivers a cut that deserves the remix attribute as it widens the listener's horizon by another (musical) facet. 

Sexy Lazer's EP Mr. Lava Lava is released on April 29th, 2022.

Alex Wastnidge, better known as From Beyond, is a music producer and DJ based in Oslo, Norway. Since 2018, he has been prolific in building an array of widely praised solo releases, starting with an EP via the legendary Paper Recordings, and more recently seeing his output grace the back catalogues of Nein Records, Golden Soul, Boîte Music, Discotheque Credits, and Paisley Dark Records.

Across both his original productions and remix work, Wastnidge has crafted a distinctive blend of acidic, spaced-out Nu Disco. His style primarily takes cues from 1980s Electro Funk, Italo Disco and Synthpop, but at the same time embodies a forward-thinking approach, borrowing and building upon the innovations of intervening eras in the process.

Despite still being a relatively new name, Wastnidge’s releases as From Beyond have taken little time to win plaudits from some of dance music’s most respected figures, among them Justin Robertson, Jerry Bouthier and Sean Johnston, as well as publications on Mixmag and Le Visiteur, for instance.

Danish producer and DJ Jesper Mygind aka C.M. Art marks a new chapter in his career this September with his debut album ‘Planet Uthboar’, inaugurating his new Uthboar imprint. Uthboar is being launched to showcase another side of the club music coming out of
Copenhagen where Mygind is based, more lo-fi, slower and a bit more experimental, with Planet Uthboar dropping as the first release.
Jesper tells us ‘’I’m very inspired by the whole cassette culture from the late 80’s where mainly experimental artists with a do-it-yourself approach recorded music in their living room and simply released it on tape to the cassette community. For me this shows that music doesn’t have to be that serious and ‘perfect’ all the time, and that you can record interesting musicright out of your living room on crappy gear.’’
UTHBOAR : ‘’Planet Uthboar is a conceptual album that takes the listener on a journey to the fictive planet of Uthboar, where two heroes are on a quest to stop the supervillain Art from exterminating every living being on the planet. The album is inspired by old comics and 70’s sci-fi animation movies, so think of a kind of H.G. Wells dark sci-fi style mixed with lo-fi house and electro - all recorded straight to an old dusty cassette recorder!’’

It has not been that long ago that Eileen started her career. But since the beginning, she has been considered one of the most promising talents in Frankfurt. With gigs at some of the coolest spots in town, such as Shuka Bar, Ima Rooftop, AMP, Silbergold, and Listener, her sonority develops itself through a broad amount of House Music encompassing as many sub-genres as possible and is mainly influenced by the likes of Francesco Del Garda, DMX Krew, and Le Loup, just to name a few. 

Despite being relatively new in the scene, she has already started throwing her own club night: Amore Collab has the goal of trying to bring a bit of musical variation to Frankfurt. 

"My motivation is to build a space for everyone who just wants to have a great time, fun, and dance. Always looking forward to playing the next time and curious about what will happen in the future", she said.
