Radio 80000 Studio Session w/ miszo

For this episode of Transience we have invited Konduku to create an hours journey in which we are taken through a darker beginning before landing us gently in a warm embrace. Known primarily for his hi-energy club sets, Konduku's atmospheric sounds and sense of focus seep into more ambient and experimental sets, where the pace and mood shifts, bringing us along for the ride. I'm honoured to have one such rare ambient excursion as this month's episode of transience. We've been talking about doing this for some years, so it was great to finally have Konduku at Cashmere Radio

Close your eyes, take a deep breath & allow your mind to bring you on a journey to a far away land. When your eyes open, you appear inside of a lush yet strangely digital landscape, billions of years into the past where the planet is overflowing with a myriad of the most unusual plants & animals. You find yourself comforted by the natural serenity of it all, the lack of human influence on the world around you. Submerged in the depths of cool, dense, mysterious jungles, interrupted only by the occasional river snaking through the trees. You trek across the most vivid of green mountains & through deep valleys that are peppered with crystal clear blue waters from the melted glaciers of a past ice age. It’s just the slightest bit familiar yet there is not a human in sight. A delicate shimmering coats the surface of everything you see. It’s as if you are in a dreamlike, artificial state of consciousness. This is the world of Tensen Park’s ‘Jurassimo’.

The Amsterdam-based producer takes you on an introspective ride through 4 dubby, ambient & IDM-adjacent tracks, each with a cool wash of crispy effervescence & crystalline ear candy. The music is full of so much beautiful detail which sounds as if it was performed in an improvisational manner. There is a meticulousness & attention to detail that is heard throughout yet everything somehow sounds unpretentious & flows naturally. The EP closes with a 5th track which is a wonderfully crunchy & upbeat rework from friend & occasional collaborator Imnop.

Sonic Spells #3 is finally here!

For the followers of our channel, Undveld is a well known artist already, as we were telling you all to follow his output closely for years now.

It was a no brainer to invite him for the series-defining third instalment to present his wizardy - we've always been amazed by his mixes and ambient productions, in fact, there's quite a lot of his productions featured in the first Sonic Spells instalment.
We're stoked to hear what do you all think about this one. For us, this mix sounds like the summer that is slowly leaving us currently: waves of warm beauty, extatic intensities, late-night misery of unfulfilled expectations and the nostalgia of revisiting the places that lost some of its charm as the time had passed.

EPISODE VII ‘PERCEPTION’
Lying on my bed, I try to fall asleep.
The complete darkness of my room envelops me like a
velvet shroud.
Outside, a winter storm freezes the city, but my home is so well-insulated and
heated that the temperature allows me to lie naked on the bed without feeling cold or hot.
And that is how I sleep.
Lying naked on the bed, which I know is the only piece of furniture in
the entire room.
There isn't even the slightest intrusion of light, neither from the windows,
covered with heavy curtains, nor from the door.
Not even sound breaches the perfect
insulation with which my house was built.
I know the wind howls outside, and the rain lashes
against the window's glass, but I hear nothing.
The silence is soft, like the feather pillow
under my head.
And yet, I cannot sleep.
Because I feel them.
I know they are here with me.
I feel their gazes penetrating my flesh.
They could touch me, but they don't.
They just stare with wide-open eyes in the complete darkness.
I feel there is one crouched at the headboard of the bed, leaning their head so far forward
that they might brush me with their face.
I know there is one at my feet, with hands stretched toward them, ready to touch them.
And there are others.
Many others, so many.
They stare at me through the walls, they smile, they study my every movement — I feel them
everywhere. But the silence is perfect.

If I were to turn on the light right now, the room would be completely empty.
Nothing moves, not even a breath of wind. But I know they are there. And that keeps me
from sleeping.
Fear? I wish. It would be so comforting to feel fear.
I could find solace in a blanket or listen to music to relax.
Unfortunately, what I feel is my heart beating hard, my blood rushing fast, my
lips trembling, my mouth in hypersalivation. It’s arousal.
Their gazes put me in a feverish state; I almost gasp with desire. For them to really touch
me. Feeling them is so sweet.
Such a sweet perception.

Presented here is Beau Wanzer's set, recorded live on Sunday March 8th, 2020. The room audio was recorded into the stereo mix during the party.  This was our last event before COVID-19 grounded nightlife in NYC and around the world.  It was truly a memorable one.  Hope you enjoy the vibe:)
