We are now brefugees, living in brexile very near the border of the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany. If you live in (the crumbling remains of) the uk, do yourself a favour and leave. The upgrade in life quality will blow your mind.

* What do we stand for as a label?

We support all independent musicians who are doing something we find interesting. Our team members all have formal music education qualifications.

We are against corporate brainwash muzak, their puppet friends in the mass media, and many other corporate activities. We will fight their desecration of music until either it stops or we die. 

We believe in helping others in the face of corrupt laws and a broken system. We are pro democracy, green energy and free speech.

We're politically liberal. We cannot support the republicans, maga or gun violence in the usa. We don't see there's any real difference, other than in name, between the christian far right in the USA and the taliban in Afghanistan.

In the uk we are broadly pro LibDem/Green/Labour/SNP. We are VERY anti-tory, bnp, ukip, and any of their friends and associates. We have no trust at all in the uk right wing press monopoly and the bbc. Beware the bbc and its claims of neutrality. It is the propaganda mouthpiece of the tory party. It even charges a propaganda tax called the licence fee. But we like Test Match Special and Radio 6, so does that make us hypocrites...? Hmm.

We support independence for Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Cornwall. We support the individual and the underdog. We are anti-putin and his war, and pro-Ukraine.

I'm a singer songwriter and for the last few years I've been making my music with nothing more than an old iPhone and an iPad mini. I have tried to overcome the obvious limitations of having no actual instruments by exploring the world of music making apps. Hopefully along the way I have created some ear-catching, toe-tapping music with complex and unusual arrangements, bleakly evocative lyrics and a big indie atmosphere.  As a result, I think this collection of songs is unlike anything else you will hear on SoundCloud. Lend me your ears and find out for yourself!

About the clocktoys: me plus occasional others (but usually just me). I have written songs from a tender age and never let the hysterical laughter grind me down (well, not often). I taught myself to play keyboards with the mighty Casio VL 1 perched on top of my little sister's toy organ (the old asthmatic wheezing kind made from elastic bands, glue and the cheapest plastics known to man).
I enjoy the creative freedom of writing alone and my music is, frankly, a muddle of influences veering off in different directions. Which is a good thing in my book.
As well as my music I may also eventually get round to reading some short stories (do i hear a a low murmur of pleasure at the back?). Basically, I'll be boring the arse off you in as many different ways as I can think of.
I like: music from many different styles past and present but in my writing I often look back to classic indie music like: the smiths; aztec camera; cocteau twins; the associates; badly drawn boy; new order; teardrop explodes; japan; early omd; echo and the bunnymen
I wish: i could play the guitar like Johnny Marr; sing better

Verdammt! Vor 25 Jahren wollte mich Peter Gabriel verklagen, weil ich unter meinem realen Namen Gabriel Musik machte (kein Witz). Inzwischen gibt es so viele mit dem Namen Gabriel, dass ich auf kaum einem Streaming-Portal mehr gefunden werden kann. Höchste Zeit also für einen neuen Namen! Es würde mich sehr freuen, wenn ihr mir weiter gewogen bleibt. Denn außer dem Namen ändert sich nichts.

Damn! Twenty-five years ago, Peter Gabriel wanted to sue me because I was making music unsing my real name, Gabriel (no joke). Now there are so many people named Gabriel that I can hardly be found on any streaming portal anymore. So it's high time for a new name! I would be very happy if you would continue to support me. Because apart from the name, nothing else is changing.
