With the early fans they had so surely hooked with their first two singles now totally over them and not at all interested in their music, WE R OK are ready to remind the world that they are in fact real people, making real music, and really don’t know what is going on.  Character flaws and inconsistency aside, WE R OK’s new single, “Down & Out”, is without question, a serious bop.  

After hearing the initial idea that Frank had laid out, the duo tried a few things until Brian landed on the hook lyrics and melody while sitting at home questioning life.  Initially Frank hated what Brian had come up with – that is, until he stopped paying attention, zoned out and heard Brian’s demo playing in the background while trying to get a grip on reality.  To Brian’s excitement, Frank said, “Yeah you right.  This is it”.  A handful more sessions, a lot more Bud Lights, an incredible amount of doobs and like 13 different mixes later (Thanks Goose), “Down & Out”, is what their parents would call, “Not bad”, but what they would call, “An absolute banger.”  Upbeat, depressing, energetic and catchy af, “Down & Out”, is sure to make them like 15 fans by summer.  Maybe you can be one?

Launched in 2020, WE R OK is a collaborative project between New York based masters of dysfunction, Frank Dal Pra and Brian Delaney.  Having been friends since college, Frank and Brian have now joined forces to create tunes for all of the unstable, hanging by a thread, troubled souls of the world.  Beneath the surface, WE R OK is nothing more than a new outlet for their pent up frustration, mental anguish and limitless creativity.  Two friends making music to help themselves cope... and hopefully helping others do the same.

Having met while studying Music Industry and Tech at Mercy College, the two quickly connected thanks to their shared love of music and apparent aptitude for dysfunction. What seemed like a match made in heaven has taken them both on one hell of a ride.
