Beginning singer/songwriter, been at it and loving it since Dec 2014.
Hailing from Ireland, Belgium, Norway and South Africa, I am a novice at both singing and guitar playing, but I wanted to document my efforts from the start, hence this account.
I grew up on Irish and Flemish/Afrikaans folk tunes and classical music, as I'm pretty sure you'll recognize from my songs.
I hope you'll enjoy them as you join me on this journey from the very beginning until what is to come :)

I am a singer songwriter. In 2006 I began writing songs. For ten-years before that I tried to become a published novelist and short story writer, and even won a couple of awards. To date I've written over 500 songs. I learned "Down in the Valley" at age seven on my mother's knee and knew I had to play music. In 2010 I began playing my original songs for audiences, wondering if they would be accepted. Since then I've performed a couple hundred times. I am inspired by folk-indie artists like The Shins, Elliot Smith, and Fleet Foxes, bands you often hear in little indie films and coffee houses. If that style is what you're looking for I'd love to take a booking with you for your venue or event.

If Lou Reed had lived in the '30s and had an affinity for moonshine instead of heroin, he would sound dangerously close to the delicate rootsiness of what Chris Jeffries is creating. Combining the swagger of Mr. Reed with the bad-luck living and roaring fingerpicking of folk stalwarts like Lead Belly, Jeffries creates a sound that could be plucked straight out of your granddaddy's Crosley
