In the wake of the devastating floods that devastated Valencia, Spain, a group of artists have come together for a cause that transcends borders and genres. This compilation album brings together exclusive tracks from visionary artists, channeling their creative prowess into a heartfelt mission: to help animal shelters working tirelessly to rescue and care for vulnerable lives affected by floods.

This disaster, a direct result of climate change, urges us to reflect and act. Rising temperatures intensify torrential rains, raise sea levels and exacerbate natural disasters, causing loss of lives, homes and biodiversity. This project calls us to protect our planet before it is too late.

Na het succes van Initiate's eerste Winter Nights-compilatie die ze afgelopen kerst uitbrachten presenteren ze nu het vervolg: Winter Nights 2. De artiesten op de compilatie kregen de opdracht een nummer te maken dat hun persoonlijke interpretatie van lange winteravonden voorstelt. Deze tweede aflevering blijft trouw aan de identiteit van het Brusselse label en biedt een zorgvuldig samengestelde selectie van ambient, deep techno, bass en drum & bass, waarmee ze de diverse stijlen tentoonstellen die hun sound definiëren.

Wij hebben de eer om met jullie al een voorproefje te delen, in de vorm van onze favoriete track van het album: 'Hexagonal Crystal System' van Clarence Rise.

Belgian duo Sparkling Bits presents “Piratage”, an eerie yet oddly calm tune ripe with synth, strings, and percussion. This song takes us back to the 1700’s, setting the scene on a pirate ship that is floating stealthily on the sea. Calm arpeggios, flutes, and shuffled percussion give the song life and ambience. Yet somewhere in this sonic soup lies the knowledge that one is being taken on a journey to the darker parts of life.  

The sense of adventure one gets is created through Sparkling Bits’ use of emptiness in tandem with precise synth stabs, samples and drum hits. A perfect match for Villain; brooding, emotional, and creative - keep your eyes on Sparkling Bits - lest you be plundered by “Piratage”!

Premiere: Essē - Nulla (Ness Remix)

The Gods Planet (TGP) is back with their 13th release, featuring previously released tracks by the label heads Claudio PRC and Ness, now remixed by fellow Italians Luigi Tozzi and Alan Backdrop. 

Monument premieres Luigi Tozzi's remix of Claudio PRC's Night Shift, a track that was part of his debut album 012, released with TGP earlier this year. 

TGP 013 will be out in July.

What Happens is gefascineerd door alles wat te maken heeft met elektronische klanken en is ontstaan met het idee om onbekend talent in de kijker te zetten. We bieden een platform aan dat nieuwe releases, te ontdekken artiesten, lokaal talent, gevestigde waarden en hippe organisaties onderdak biedt in de vorm van hapklare artikels. 

Wat begon als een subtiel avontuur ver in 2016, is vandaag de dag uitgegroeid tot onze grootste passie. We plakken liever niet het etiket elektronische muziekblog bovenaan onze website, maar zien het breder. We bieden onze lezers een mix van muziek en onze visie op het feestende leven. En als we een leuke release tegenkomen of het nieuwste wonderkind ontdekken, dan vertellen we je dat ook ineens.

Waarom we doen wat we doen: we willen talent ontdekken, jong of oud, en in the picture zetten. Artiesten, promotors, events of labels die alles in huis hebben om het te maken, maar nog net dat extra editoriale duwtje in de rug nodig hebben.
