"Melodic and driving, driven and melancholic - put into a nutshell its this dualistic groove that defines Jonas Woehl’s sound. Packed with impressions and directions, grounded by a firm but never overladen bass, its about finding a balance without taking sides. Not deciding between light and darkness, but rather dancing in the shadows and enjoying both. It’s in this concept that the young Dresdners sound design has put itself to the test, beginning with high-carat remixes for top-players such as Jay Haze and Fritz Kalkbrenner, he has developed and mastered stepping over the border of conventionalism and going towards his own interpretation of emotional dance music. EPs on german top-notch labels such as Get Physical and Solee’s Parquet Recordings have ultimately been a game changer for Woehl and his debut album on the young Berlin-based label Lenient Tales follows this path. Bringing out „White Sheets“ - a 10-track journey on the back of this nutshell - he follows the perception that there’s neither black nor white, but rather a hazy blend. 
Beginning the album with a beatless dark-ambient piece - shadows of voices running in the background - these voices become clearer in the vocals of colleague Locoto, parallel to the steady introduction of bass and percussion. Touches of post-rock industrial mist slowly creep their way through the beginning minutes - there’s no haste because Woehls sound stands where it does without having to go anywhere. Letting himself be inspired more by bands than by other electronic acts, its in the light-dark-analogy that the album gets its distinct ambivalenz between solid techno structures and unconventional shuffles and spheric approaches - nonetheless orientating itself on a live-performance programmatic with similar BPMs. Starting with a straight-forward minimalistic „Leaving Me“, the following track „Winter“ leaves the traditional 4/4-building blocks aside and creates a wonderful broken-beat Apparat-isch dream landscape, accompanied by crisp voice loops and soothing strings. Dark-fuzzy industrial stomper „Is This“ and hi-hat whirling „Stockholm“ flatten out the base from which the epic vocal-collaboration with Wyoming sets out from. A central clap and shuffled percussion give the broad placed synth of „You Want To“ the experimental framework as the emotional climax of the album. Continuing with the loop-swirling, ambient firmness of „November First“, the vocal collaboration of David Clement on „Not Looking At You“, Woehl finishes off his debut album with the name sharing „White Sheets“, spinning dizzy synths into a mediative trance state, bordered by a dub-staggered drum arrangement, which rounds off the hazy blend perspective of Woehls production. "

After the first remix single featuring Low Manuel and Alex Preda we are happy to present to you the second remix single for Willy Real's well received album 'The Birthplace Of My Dream'. This time we see Steve Slight, Paul Hazendonk and Clawz SG on remix duties!

But before we start talking about the remixes we kick off the release with the original of 'Save Our Soul', the best selling song from the album. It's a nice delicate and warm little song that simply deserves to get a little renewed attention.

Steve Slight and Paul Hazendonk have teamed up to remix 'Save Our Soul' and the Belgian/Dutch duo have added a bit of spice and funky shuffle to the song resulting in a proper progressive house bomb.

If you feel that's not enough we're happy to welcome Steyeyoke resident Clawz SG back on the label with his interpretation of 'Night Ride' which originally is the album intro. Leave it up to our French friend to transform it into a proper emo dance floor burner.

To finish off this release we've added yet another original from that mighty fine album; the chilled down vibes of 'Sunset On A Sandy Beach' so you can catch your breath again.

After releasing his debut album Izgubljeni (Lost) on Submarine Vibes, Hibrid presents you with the first Remix Edition EP of track "Cvijet Crni" (Flower The Black).

Besides being met with great local support, the album also had considerable commercial success, entering TOP 10 Electronica/Downtempo Releases on Beatport.

Another thing that makes Lost special is the presence of Hibrid's friends and fellow musicians on several of its tracks. Flower the Black is one such track, featuring Adnan Salihovic on guitar and Belma Zvizdic on vocals.

The first remix is coming from Martin Roth, whom we are glad to have back on Submarine Vibes after the release of Ahead Of Time EP with Marymoon earlier this year. Martin is a well-known producer and DJ from Germany. He was first brought into the spotlight of global underground dance music when, alongside Eric Prydz and Deadmau5, he was named a Beatport Star of 2009 as a result of topping their sales chart no less than 5 times that year, achieving an incredible 16 Top 10 positions and receiving 3 nominations at the Beatport Annual Awards for his productions and remixes.

Other, soon to be released remixes of Flower the Black were done by equally compelling Franz Alice Stern, Marcus Sur and Atonic.

We hosted Franz and Marcus in Sarajevo this year and we're really happy to present them again on this remix edition EP.
Both of the remixes are dancefloor magnets, giving precedence to the groove and pads rather than the guitar melodies of the original.

The last remix is done by local DJ and producer, Atonic, also known as Ajnspric, who brings his "old-school" vibe in his interpretation of the original.
