Dutch producer, Toman makes his debut on fresh-faced Berlin label we_r_house this November with four minimal house cuts.

Watergate resident and the creative mind behind the Beste Modus label, Cinthie decided to launch we_r_house with Berlin friends’ and kicked off the label with material from herself and The Willers Brothers late last year and most recently a third release from Revivis. The man behind we_r_house04 and a new partner of the label, Toman shares a parallel vision focussing on minimalistic but complex house music. He’s worked with the likes of Cyclic Records, Inermu and most recently UK label Pathway Traxx before linking up with we_r_house.

‘Broodrooster’ kicks off the EP, offering up a stripped-back, technical micro-house feel balancing exuberant bass stabs with tender flickers of melody. ‘Fever’ follows, an absorbing, lo-fi cut layered with energetic percussion and bouncy undulating elements.

Next, ‘Murmur displays true minimalism, featuring a simple, deep, rolling bass-line whilst flickering drum patterns and tinges of background chimes tucked into the depths of the record. ‘Slapback’ then provides wiggly jabs throughout alongside sleek flutters and an infectious subdued vocal sample to finish the pack.

From laidback house vibes to soaring techno, the sixth instalment of the Picture series covers the artists full spectrum.

Diynamic Musics Picture: series is a document in time, showcasing an artists current creative output in order to allow the listener to visualise and understand the artist at a certain moment. It is not an album format, but far more than merely an EP. Picture: is various dancefloor-oriented facettes of one producer, shaping the imagery that ultimately results in the listeners mind.

Mind Against are back on Afterlife with two emotive, dancefloor masterpieces. ‘Walking Away’, featuring the deeply-affecting vocals of Port St. Willow, centers around uplifting harmonic elements and a resonant drum pattern. It strikes that special balance of light and dark which makes Mind Against’s tracks uniquely cathartic. ‘Bloom’ is more a melancholy, downtempo interpretation of their vision. The percussion is restrained and sits deep below atmospheric pads and piano chords, eventually arriving at a gradual and subtle peak. Mind Against reach euphoric heights once again, though this time by a patient and reflective path.

'The Argentinian MUNSE is the artist who brings you the 15th EP of Infinite Depth. He provided three very interesting originals of which one collaboration with another Argentinian talent, called Stjepanek. Two of the originals got remixed by respectively the Belgian duo Senses of Mind and the French Aalson. 
The first tracks is called ‘Dawn’. A perfect intro track which starts of with a lot of exciting percussion. The tension through the whole track keeps expanding towards a certain unexpected point at the end of the track, through which all melodies heard before get new dimension. 

The duo Senses of Mind took their view on ‘Dawn’ and stripped the track down. Around some more atmospheric elements of the original they built up the track again, using their own signature sounds. This all together resulted a pretty minimalistic and sophisticated remix.

The title track of the EP, called ‘Alma’, is a real journey through space. Starting of with the key elements of the track, which overflow in a friendly and peaceful melody. After this, it comes to the key moment, which could be seen as a real intensification. A moment which will bring you to higher atmospheres for sure. After this intense part, the track nicely falls down into the peaceful melody again to bring this journey to an end.

The collaboration between MUNSE and Stjepanek, called ‘Serentiy’, is a masterpiece full of surprises. Already at the beginning the tension is very high, which makes you wonder what will be the next unexpected moment. Constantly melodies of which you couldn’t think of are generated and are combined with a certain groove flowing through the whole track. A track you can’t get enough of, but unfortunately every track has an end.

Aalson gave ‘Serenity’ a whole new meaning through his remix. In the beginning it looks like the remix is built on the lead melody of the original, but in the break a new signature melody gets introduced. This signature part gives the track an extra layer of euphory and brings the full EP to a nice and satisfying end. '

Our Chrom Recordings EP nr 40 is from Sam Albasini aka Aston Alba, a producer & DJ from Switzerland. In 2018 he released his first singles and EP's on Trippy Code and Inlab. Pretty soon his style of music evolved from melancholic & hypnotic techno into a mix of mystic atmospheres and Middle Eastern sounds resulting in releases on Grrreat & Aftertech. And in this style he presents us now his 2-track EP on Chrom Recordings:“Tigris & Euphrates”. To round things off, we also added  some very powerful remixes.

For “Euphrates” we asked an artist we already wanted to add to our roster for some time: Aaron Suiss, from Washington DC, but now currently residing in Thailand. Aaron Suiss describes his style of music as Progressive Melodic House/Techno. Aaron is currently working as the A&R & Label Manager of Outta Limits Recordings, one of the leading Progressive House labels around and the imprint of Stan Kolev & Matan Caspi. Next to his output on Outta Limits he also has released on Revolt, Harabe & O'Tawa. For this remix Aaron teams up with Q.U.A.K.E aka Netanel Asraf from Israel.

The second remix of “Euphrates” is made by Riccardo LeBron aka Anakim (pronounce as ana-keem), a Los Angeles-based DJ/producer who describes his music as "Intergalactic Underground Sounds”. He perfected his sound at the esteemed Icon Collective Music Production School resulting in a dark and mysterious sonic style that is both melodically rich and delightfully sinister. Releases on top labels such as EIN2, ICONYC, mau5trap, Desert Hearts Black, Krafted Underground, Dear Deer,... and nominated by DJ Mag as  “Artist To Watch” in 2019 and by Billboard Dance as “Emerging Artist You Should Know” this year, says it all.

And last but not least the EP is completed with a remix of “Tigris” by Sarcasmo. Sarcasmo is a new project, a new idea, from the Spanish producer/DJ Alvaro Fuentes, established in London, sharing his more than 10 years of experience and in which after researching about different styles brings his darkest side: techno, deep and minimal influences fused with dark vibes is what you can find in most of his energetic productions, resuling in releases on labels such as Steyoyoke, Us & Them, KDB, Wood, Cinematique, Qilla,...

The second of two originals comes from British composer Kieldfal. His track ‘Fades In Time' was already a hit within the ambient scene, earning praise from the YouTube channel Ambient. We've licensed the composition to bring you a rework from Argentinian producer Antrim. Antrim's remix employs the pads and piano for a progressive take."

After an extended break from the studio, Jim has revived his artistic drive in incredible fashion. Over the last six months alone, he’s had an EP on Lee Burridge’s surging Tale & Tone, a pair of productions on our Blanche VA, the launch of his own label, and a sumptuous EP on the famed Kindisch . Rider has a firm grasp on the attention of the dance community’s most influential tastemakers, as he continues to unveil a distinct studio prowess. 

For his return to XYZ, Jim has come together with compatriot Mizbee on vocal duty to present a boastful A-side. With appearances on the likes of Toolroom, Hot Creations, and Suara, Mizbee is well versed in the art of alighting a production with powerful vocal work. Ada rides a house kick, with a drumline opening up to a light melody. Mizbee’s sultry tones connect with the bassline, offering exalted prose. Synths and rising percussions elevate energy on the way to Jim’s signature lighthearted groove finding full force.
