Sylva 247 is a poetic sonic meditation, reflecting on a bittersweet relationship with the forest, and was written for Lone Women's 'Lone Women Wood' collaborative sound installation at Sanctuary Lab 2021 in the Galloway Forest.

Informed by dark folk tales old and new, Kat Five’s forest is teeming with life, and weaves together field recordings, percussion, melodica and vocals, to create a spell-binding journey.

Butterfly Wings is Kat Five’s first solo release, a fragile and haunting electronic track about freedom, that features a sample of a butterfly that found its way into her studio. Played by John Kennedy on Radio X X-Posure, it's a song of hope in dark times, and was inspired by Racines in Morocco, and its slogan #LaCultureEstLaSolution. This experimental tune’s message is that even the tiniest actions can create change. It features swirling butterfly sounds, velvet vocals, and sparse crackling beats.
