Happy to welcome previous releasing artist @kolomensky to the mix series, he did a track with Uninc for our first compilation “Sphere” (hear it: https://soundcloud.com/clandestinomusic/premiere-uninc-kolomensky-zima-samo-records). Kolomensky co-runs the label/ party @idasound out of Moscow. 
To no surprise, he sent a nice and versatile mix, dial-in!

Our next guest features a unique talent from Prague, Roman Rai.

Biography

“No Borders Please. In Fact They Really Do Not Exist”.

This statement proves to be true for Roman Hořínek, better known under his dj/producer alias Roman Rai.

Roman’s musical path began at a turn of the century in Prague a cultural gem of Europe.

Having an ear for music and attention to small details, Roman has earned himself a name of an experienced and knowledgeable music producer and sound engineer.

Throughout the years, his creativity and energy would turn into musical ideas and compositions, which would captivate and mesmerize listeners.

Whether it is a work in a studio or behind the decks – Roman Rai does not confine to current trends in the industry. Nevertheless, he continues to constantly search for that spark that can turn any track (or a DJ set) into real emotion and energy-fuelled story.

This search eventually led Roman to establish a record label “Moving Pictures” together with his friend Täino in 2018. Shortly after, he released his second studio album “Middle of Nowhere” on the same label.

Since then Roman has been focusing on growing and shaping the sound of the label, as well as multiple personal collaboration projects.

In the past 20 years, Roman has left a meaningful trace on the local scene, as well as beyond it.

And there are still more stories to tell and borders to erase.

Next to him assembling a characterful and eclectic mix ranging from 90’s party anthems to upcoming Sascha Funke material.

Uninc & Kolomensky - producers and DJs duo, co-founders of Moscow record label ИДА. 

They met while organising parties in Moscow and soon began to produce tracks together. They released music on labels such as Sulk Magic, Nein Records, Tom Tom Disco, Clandestino, Hell Yeah Recordings.

Big part of their music life is own label ИДА which has 10th release coming and tracks from the label are supported by names such as Andrew Weatherall, Vladimir Ivkovic, Identified Patient, Ivan Smagghe, Moscoman, Marvin & Guy, Perel among others. Label is known for its eclectic approach and no boundaries in the sound and constantly showcasing local rising talent aswell as established like minded artists from around the world.

Uninc & Kolomensky are similar to their label in that concept of eclectism combining different influences from disco, techno, acid, rave, ambient, afro, trance, ebm and everything inbetween.

*Sinchi "Redemption" Mix is inspired from emotions of this tumultuous period. The one hour journey split into 3 parts: Regret, Hope and Liberty. Despite saying this, it doesn't take itself too seriously with some fun vocal samples added within this trip.

Sinchi Collective @ Chicago Calling #096 - Netherlands

This month we are joined by a duo we have been chasing for a long time. The Two Mamarrachos consisting of dj partners Borja Campion & Jaime Sagastibeltza. There productions have featured heavily in our dj sets for years! Their dark enigmatic and Balearic vibes are the perfect modern twist on the original 90’s Acid House sound. With releases on all of our favourite labels the Mamarrachos have influenced and inspired us from the beginning! It’s a pleasure to finally add their name to the list of Hostage Radio guest selectors.

Theus Mago is the alter ego of Mexican producer and Duro label owner Mateo González aka Bufi. A while back Theus Mago did a terrific remix for Rico Puestel’s track ‘Whether’ on TAU and contributed the track ’Technician’ together with Local Suicide to our Spectrum 2 VA that came out earlier this year. Denis Kolomensky is a DJ and producer based in Moscow, co-founder of ИДА label & DJ-crew, responsible for many events across the city and introducing various prominent DJs to the Moscow scene. 

Throughout his musical path he experimented with a lot of genres and styles, from synth-pop to experimental cuts, always searching for the new sound which can be found in combining different music directions and approaches.
