Have you ever heard the idiom of “working like a horse”? Well, Vaiper Vitalijus is someone, who can easily be called a stallion. A long-time representative of the Lithuanian urban music scene, a potent figure under many faces. A teacher, a leader, a
mentor, someone who is connecting the Vilniusʼs dots. Hungry for fresh ideas, one way or another, Vaiper has brought together the vast majority of urban culture-oriented fresh blood, all around Lithuania. 

Glancing through Vaiperʼs career as an MC, together with his colleagues from “Despotin Fam”, they have released two classic Lithuanian Hip Hop albums (I.K.E.P; Odisėja49), which both imprinted the Lithuanian landmark with a heavyweight sneaker. Later, the “Despotin Fam” project shifted and moved forward, starting to concert together with what they call - The Big Bang Band - an ensemble of more than a dozen musicians, executing showy live performances, combining Hip Hop, Live & Urban Electronic music. The band is now regarded as one of the most influential Hip Hop acts in Lithuania period.

2007, Vaiper Despotin established a new, urban music-oriented radio show, called “Despotin Beat Club”, aired weekly, national-wide. The show educates listeners about latter-day music and collaborates with the world's urban music scene.

2010, DJs and producers Vaiper, Harvey Clef, and Emylis started a new imprint called Renegades Of Bump, a community-based label responsible for helping young Lithuanian urban music producers to progress. The crew organized the first live Lithuanian beat battle and released already two compilations, featuring young Lithuanian producers, yet again promoting the sound and proving the talent of Lithuanian youth.

Deserted Island are the real funk brothers from the same mother. Matas nails the riffs with his strings and Lukas mixes all parts as one. Duo is highly influenced by retro rock and future electronics, it’s a clash of styles and genres which translates to bangers on demand. They are still on the musical rise and it might catch you by lovely surprise.

Pour ce numéro 148, nous avons l'honneur de recevoir pour ce dernier Foutoir de la saison, quelqu'un que l'on ne présente pas : @cursesforever ! Luca Venezia de son vrai nom est un dj et producteur américain basé à Berlin, il y a maintenant plus d'une dizaine d'années qui a su se réinventer et est aller puiser dans ses influences passées à savoir le punk et l'électronique des années 80. De ce savant mélange en est sorti la Next Wave Acid Punx, terme qu'il utilisé pour ses superbes compilations sorties chez Eskimo Records. Est-ce un style ? Plus un art de vivre où se retrouverait les gothiques et les fans de new beat... avec toujours une touche de rock.
