Nothing Is Real celebrates spring with a massive remix package of the last ‘04:00 AM’ EP from the Italian artist O.P.S.
The remixes team is composed by 3 stellar names of nowadays, the Sicilian disco duo Phunkadelica, the German Permanent Vacation label head Benjamin Fröhlich and the Milanese label bosses Modular Project.

Benjamin Fröhlich is on board remixing ‘Malena’ with his disco-housy fingerprint. He delivered a pure energetic bliss for every body-mover on the dancefloor.

Today we have the pleasure of premiering Phunkadelica's remix from "Maria", which is a perfect example of modern Indie Dance. Adding to the original a strong arp bassline mixed with their typical cosmic synths, the duo made the perfect banger to smash the dancefloor.

We’re thrilled to introduce a collaboration of a kind with Jennifer Cardini teaming up this time with the enigmatic and rising songwriter and producer Bozart, releasing his new track on Correspondant: the fresh and exciting ‘The Dark, The Light’. 

Between dark disco, new wave and italo house, Bozart blends the dark with the light, the uncanny synth and ghostly atmosphere with the ultra catchy and upbeat bassline. Adding Jennifer Cardini’s voice in an introspective spoken words is giving this track a really special aura.

Budakid’s ‘Milestones’ gets the remix treatment from three very hot names, with very different results.

Korean hotshot Shubostar has featured on Resident Advisor’s mix series, played leading festivals like Burning Man and released on killer imprints like Robert Johnson, Permanent Vacation, Internasjnoal and her acclaimed Uju Records. Her colorful update on cosmic disco fits perfectly with the charms of Budakid’s style, with a bouncing off-beat bass line driving under heavily reverbed kicks and snares and a flurry of ascending arpeggios. The synths soar, the breakdown takes us into an epic space, and the remix develops beautifully over the course of its 8 minutes to keep you hooked throughout.

London duo Make A Dance are rapidly on the ascent, with a huge release on Classic Music Company and killer cuts on their M.A.D. Records imprint as well as sets at the likes of fabric and Club Silencio. Their rework goes deeper, building through gated snips of the vocal, pulsing pads, Latin snare patterns and subtle bleep riffs and delays to reach a heady, hypnotic place. The ethereal breakdown full of tripped out tape delays and great use of airy vocal harmonies are the icing on the cake, making their remix feel like the original as experienced in a joyous dream. Oh, and prolific guys that they are, they’ve also included a ‘Deep Acid’ mix which... I think you can figure it out?

Rising Dutch talent Milio (Atomnation and formerly one part of Tunnelvisions) rounds off the package by stripping things back to a deep, tripped-out pulse, modulating twanging acid belches in conversation with an off-beat bass bounce. The vocal is used in super-dreamy fashion—particularly in the breakdown—and slick production on that acid line and clever automation keeps it engaging despite this remix’s pared-back approach.

Sinchi's Altered States collection is back with another forward-thinking collection of artists and music from across the electronic spectrum. Tel Aviv's Avi Sakorka opens up and has 20 years of experience behind him making everything from trance to new wave, deep house to downtempo, always with a storytelling melodic edge. He returns after a break of several years with 'Sunset With Tequila,' a summery and colorful sound that combines several influences into a lush electronic soundscape with new wave and disco energy and rich synth work.

Then comes Stevie R & Parisinos, a formable pair who run Inside Out Records. They have appeared on this label before now as well as Me Me Me Recordings, Playground Records, Hard Fist and many more, and work on experimental sounds as Alter Altamont. 'Aphrodite' is an excellently dark and alluring disco cut with a gurgling bassline and celestial melodies over rickety drum machines that keep you locked.

French artist Mala Ika joins Roam Recordings with two new original offerings backed by remixes from Phunkadelica and Shubostar to form the Du Bist Ernst EP. Mala Ika has been prolific lately with releases on labels such as Permanent Vacation, Critical Mondays, and Watergate Records. She brings her unique style to Roam, starting with the title track Du Bist Ernst which thoughtfully bends an 80s riff into something completely new. Zufall continues to showcase Mala Ika’s sound with pulsating synth stabs, arps, and even a little breakbeat floating through this hypnotic tune. Italian duo Phunkadelica who have been topping the charts lately with tracks like “By The Power Of Grayskull” takes on Du Bist Ernst and delivers a dark driving version. Returning to Roam with her Tracelove remix, Shubostar gives an epic version of Zufall with lush strings, dramatic builds, and some classic rave flavor.
