DE/FRAGMENT’s own Douchean returns to the label with the second of two fraternal EPs exploring love, intimacy and sensuality. Compared to the overarching ethereal sonic palette of interpersonal relationships in “Aphrodisiac”, “Body Worship” guides the listener through diverse forms of corporeal emotion, such as lust, (over)indulgence and physical warmth. 

The opening track of the release, also named “Body Worship”, is a voluptuous account of succumbing to the animalistic urge to consume and ravish without restraint. It is a tale of two beings in a carnivorous dance of pleasure, and just like two black holes that cross paths, violently merging through an impossibly strong gravitational pull. One is immediately thrust into a losing battle for control over oneself against an ever-stronger vortex of desire – one could even say greed – and succumbing to the primal instinct to devour the other. The percussions stumble upon each other in a drunken haze perpetuated by the corrosive bassline of unrestrained hedonism, resulting in an echoing lack of moral guidance. However, as the arrangement progresses, the two dancers synchronize their rhythms like two pendulums hanging from the same thread of Creation, pushing and pulling at the same time to maximize the carnal friction. Reaching concurrent culmination, the final crescendo is a collapse of two exhausted lovers into a pool of sweat, falling into deep sleep that transforms their dance into a memory lived many lifetimes ago - even if it was yesterday.
