About the Release:
Originally “This is Berlin Underground” was a series of events starting in 2010 with the aspiration of promoting Berlin Underground Techno and spreading it to various locations all over Europe. This network prospered fast, turning into a cross-boarder venture, connecting artists in different countries bonded by their love for this kind of music. We see ourselves as an antipole to the increasing commercialization and selllout of electronic dance music, while we try our best to avoid to be limited to one site or city, for that matter… Tastes differ, as everybody knows, and since the birth of the term “Techno” there's a fierce debate about what “Techno” actually means; Through the means of “Berlin Underground” we want to spread our interpretation and idea of “Techno”.

One of the foundation artists on Samurai Horo, ASC is an essential part of the labels rebirth with the ’Geocentric Systems’ EP. Taking the Grey Area sound into heavier, darker territory, ‘Aphelion’ and ‘Perihelion’ formed the core of this EP with their fervent BPM trickery. These tracks are Techno rebuilt with dizzying sensory loss, adding a weightless intensity that feels like a constant attack. ’Passel’ and ‘Geocentric Systems’ offer a dubbed out version of the approach, heavy on the intricate sound design that has become the ASC trademark.

Poima - Backyard Hustle
Moscow duo Poima consisting of Alexander Lestukhin and Semen Lopukhov is well known for their regular live shows on the main electronic music venues in Russia. They also doing party events called Minimum in Rabitsa club and Mutabor. Opening track "Backyard Hustle” was written more than 5 years ago and was found and collective’s archive and it stays actual for nowadays

H Fourteen - Perception Of An End
H Fourteen is an alter ego of producer Maxim Nikolaev more knows as Rnbws. In the new project he moves away from percussive bass music stepping forward to warehouse techno sound.

Caprithy - No Celebration
Next part taker of the compilation is Moscow musician Caprithy. Noise collages, intricate break rhythm and hypnotic melodies are three main components of the track “No Celebration”.

Greenwald - Matrix
Greenwald is a DJ from Saint Petersburg responsible for gaining momentum label Urwaxx where he releases super actual jungle and newschool electro music. Track «Matrix» presented on this compilation will be liked by breakbeat fans.

Dawn Razor & Archetech - Your Object 1

Poima - Backyard Hustle (Pkge)

Travelling through the countryside he thought back to his childhood, it felt so long ago now, like a distant memory. He recalled the buildings, the places, the smiles, the faces of those who'd taught him so much. Now that he was back home again it all felt a little surreal and uneasy, had he ever really been here at all? Had it all been a dream? It's funny how things change, he had never expected to feel so nostalgic and reminiscent upon his return. Yet here he was pondering first loves and stories from late nights long ago. 

Bazovoe Techno are set to release an EP showcasing some of the most important up and comers in Russian techno. The EP is a powerhouse, an introduction to the rough and rugged sounds running the dancefloors and ramshackle parties overseas. Big TIP.
