For this 46th Premiere of 2022, we have a track by Dutch Electro producer Cliff Dalton titled ‘We Are The Little Ones’ from his forthcoming EP "Blue City" on the Dutch newcomer label : LDI Records.

LDI Records is a Dutch record label specialized in moody, dark and atmospheric electro. The name comes from the abbreviation of Lloyd’s Dark Imperium.
The label was created in 2021 by Erik Griffioen aka Lloyd Stellar with a focus on vinyl (Clone Distribution), but LDI will also be represented in the digital world.

"Cliff Dalton - Blue City EP" will be available from March 7, 2022 in 12" Vinyl.

Cliff Dalton - Blue City EP (+ Legowelt & Rude 66 Remixes) [LDI Records - LDI005]

LDI Records serves up a celebration of The Hague's famous electro sound with native Cliff Dalton aka Sander Evers behind four originals and fellow West Coast legends Legowelt and Rude66 both remixing.

Cliff Dalton is a relatively new project from a long-time Dutch music great. Sander Evers is the drummer in psychedelic stoner rock band Monomyth and has played with other notable groups including 35007 and Gomer Pyle. Next to those projects, he has always had his ear tuned into the region's enduring electro scene and now offers up his own fresh take on it. The EP's title refers to the fact that all these artists are bound by geography but is also a nod to the fact that The Hague is the largest Dutch city by the sea.

The opener 'We Are The Little Ones' is about an evil robot factory in a futuristic dystopian city. It is a coruscated electro-funk workout with crisp analogue drums and nimble bass overlaid with withering sci-fi melodies. 'We Don't Need A Real World' is a superbly cinematic eight-minute excursion with widescreen synth work taking you to the stars as you ride an elastic bassline. The majestic 'City Under The Sea' then layers up neck-snapping snares with cosmic arps and plunging bass and 'Cleopatra's Matrix' soundtracks an ancient Egyptian city with its mystic leads and eerie pads luring you into a late-night electro trance.

West Coast pin-up and hugely prolific electronic innovator Legowelt remixes 'We Are The Little Ones'. His version has plenty of his textbook intrigue, lo-fi texture and magical synth charm, and finally key Bunker Records associate Rude 66 flips 'City Under The Sea' into a snaking dub rhythm with hypnotic acid lines and seductive vocal whispers woven in deep.

The Blue City EP is a timeless package of West Coast electro direct from the source.

New York City based Further Reductions is the live project from husband and wife Shawn (aka Vapauteen, 400ppm, Let Er Est) and Katie O'Sullivan (aka Rose E Kross, ppG). Back in 2014 they released their gorgeous debut album on Cititrax records. The album was an adventurous trip, where they pushed forward a unique sound. After all those years there will be a follow up to this EP on Knekelhuis. Expect a fusion of different sounds, grimy and pretty at the same time.

Whilst the world is on pause, we thought it be a good idea to showcase some works that have been moving us months before the lockdown kicked in. We wanted to share and replicate the same amount of electric vibrational emotions it initially had on us upon first listening to them, so the best way we could describe that feeling was by calling this VA series, Currents I. In this compilation theres some faces you know from the Power Station roster intersected with some soon to be Power Station release inductees, once this mess clears up obviously. 

Anyways we hope you enjoy these as we have been waiting to share them for some time. Available now on bandcamp.

Guest appearances from the likes of NVST on ‘Something stronger’ connects the dots between the somewhat industrious otherworldly vocals with the despondent futuristic melody. Stylistically the album is vast, combining dance-orientated tracks with tunes that act more as interludes to some extent, such as ‘T-Maze’ and ‘Working Rats’. Long time friend and collaborator of the label, Theo Delaunay aka Panoptique aka Constance Chlore, releases his first solo album on Lyon's finest Macadam Mambo. Panoptique stick to what he knows to do the best, to present his stories, singing spoken words, gogolitos deliriums, whispers and rough voices on Minimal Synth Wave ballads or Drexciyan’s Electro bangers, it’s brut, mental, sometimes brutal and so so groovy in the meanwhile.
