Berlin-based HOVR’s debut EP on Heimlich Musik is called Holding on and marks the 32nd EP of the label. 

The original mix of the title track is a well-balanced composition of subtle vocals, powerful acid lines and classic drum machines underlined by hypnotic pads. 
Cosmic Cowboy lives up to his name with a good pinch of 80s aesthetic created by dreamy vintage synthesizers. 

Taking the vocals of the original as a foundation Freudenthal’s interpretation of Holding on is an energetic disco banger that can’t go without a distinctive arpeggio bassline.  

By picking up selected elements of the original mix of Holding on and by adding a selection of distorted sounds the second remix contribution by Kalipo rounds up the EP as a whole with an aggressive arrangement influenced by Electroclash.

Feines Tier veteran Johannes @klingebiel introduces @franz-matthews to the family and together they bring us “Ce Moment” EP, a basket of tunes full of colorful harmonies, bouncy grooves and poetic French lyrics. What more could one wish for?
The two producers and multi-instrumentalists met some years ago in their chosen
hometown Berlin and decided to fuse their producing and multi-instrumentalism game.
The first fruit of this labor was the much-loved and -played “Signs” on Heimlich records, now being followed by this EP here.
The title tune is an amalgamation of groovy electric bass riLs, spicy Prophet synth
sounds, melancholic vocals and certainly has something of that magic ingredient
people call the French Touch. A good tune to pick for House DJs who dig some Disco now and then and for Disco DJs in need of some solid House.
“La Traversée” is a crossing (multi-language pun intended) of bazillions of quirky synth sounds and melodies that somehow form a coherent whole, the sum of its part being a light and friendly but not cheesy house tune, that will make the sun go up on any dancefloor.
The mighty Kompakt overlord @michael-mayer-kompakt takes “Ce Moment” under his spell. The result is a grander and more mysterious aLair, made for bigger and darker dancefloors. The Sound of Cologne™ this is indeed!
Parisian up-and-comer @shimon-earthly adapts „La Traversée” into his sonic world. When Matthews and Shimon discussed the finished remix on the phone in French, all that le dilletant Johannes could understand from it were the words “très cool” and “after-hour vibe” , which… yes, completely tracks!

Local Suicide and Wiener Planquadrat share more than just a musical wavelength - theirs is a long-standing creative friendship, built over countless nights, shared stages, and a deep mutual understanding of the darker corners of electronic music. Having already released two collaborative tracks, “Flashdance” & “Light It Up”, and worked together on remixes for artists such as You Man, Ali X, AFFKT, Nuclear Digital Transistor and Idoru, the duo now presents their new single '“Der Apfel Fällt Nicht Weit Vom Stamm” on Iptamenos Discos showcasing their evolving sound.

The song was written in 2024 in Local Suicide’s Berlin studio and went through countless revisions in studios across both Berlin and Vienna until it reached its state of perfection. The single stands out as one of the most accessible tracks this collaboration has produced so far: a leftfield pop song that unfolds like a slow-moving fog creeping through a late-night club: mechanical yet sensual, minimal yet immersive. It drifts somewhere between dark disco and synth pop, steering clear of typical dancefloor formulas in favor of something more hypnotic, more internal. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree – and that tree is rooted in a shared history between two acts who’ve spent years honing their sound on parallel trajectories.

Local Suicide are recognized as one of the most influential duos in the dark electronic underground scene. Since 2008, the Greek-German pair have shaped the sound of dark disco, EBM, post-punk and indie dance through countless releases on cult labels like Bordello A Parigi, Lumière Noire, TAU, Eskimo Recordings, and Ombra INTL. Their work has been featured in DJ Mag, Mixmag, Der Spiegel, Rolling Stone and Tsugi, and they even appeared – as themselves – in the German TV show Fett & Fett on national broadcaster ZDF.

Wiener Planquadrat, the Vienna-based duo of Michael Weiler and Maximilian Atteneder, made their mark in 2021 with “Stillstand”, a breakout debut that climbed the dance charts in Austria and Germany. Their 2022 EP “Dschungel”, featuring remixes by T.Raumschmiere and Tech Support, blended analog grit with indie-rave melancholy, signaling their refusal to play by genre rules. In recent years, they’ve performed live in Berlin, Paris, and Thessaloniki, released remixes for artists like Oberst & Buchner, Dina Summer, Kalipo, and more.

The fact that Wiener Planquadrat were the very first artists to ever release on Iptamenos Discos – with their hit “Stillstand” in 2021 – makes this release feel like a full-circle moment. “Der Apfel Fällt Nicht Weit Vom Stamm” isn’t just another single. It’s a subtle reminder of how powerful a connection can be when it’s built not on strategy, but on trust, friendship and shared experience.

Howling at the Moon dives deeper into the night, driven by hypnotic percussion, dark synth

tango-esque groove where rhythms subtly intertwine.

Closing the EP, You & I stands apart — restored from a nine-year-old lost writing session, this
