Ransom Note Records are over the moon to welcome illustrious French Electronic duo Froid Dub to the fold for the debut 12” vinyl release with us, Tears Maker Chant. Head honchos of the wonderful Delodio label, Stéphane and François, mark the 50th release for R$N Recs, and this is without a shadow of a doubt an incredibly special one for us. So, sit back and ready yourself for some inimitable Froid Dub cuts; laid back but pounding, graceful yet aggressive but above all, thoroughly danceable.

Opening proceedings is the Acid tinged Just One, a masterclass in making people dance at under 80bpm. Achingly gorgeous polysynth chords rain down, hovering like a film overhead the saturated 303 line that wobbles along in the low end. First single On The Nose enters next, with a delightfully soft, round bass that feels like bouncing around a padded room. Inside a Zorb. On MDMA. More echoed, analogue motifs dart from left to right, confirming with strong conviction that our chaps from Paris put the Dub in Indubitably Fantastic.

Digital Pond closes side A of the 12”, a low slung, nonchalant piece of mood music. Idiosyncratically “French” , brittle chords piece the sound stage, evoking past Italo Disco spaces, but remaining conscientiously chug-dubbed out. Second single Control (Special Mix) opens side B… with a capital B. For Banger. Another Space Echo heavy workout in the lower frequencies of the audio spectrum, this is testament to the old adage that less is often, a hell of a lot more (to paraphrase).

The titular Tears Maker glides into view next, with its frantic 808 patterns and spacey melodica, setting the scene for the majesty to follow. This epically proportioned tune is probably going to be a little passe come the end of summer, because it’s going to be played at festivals the world over relentlessly. Be warned! Finally Terri’s Dub brings matters to a close, with its angular, stands and woozy vocals, we’re given the space and tie to contemplate what has just happened to us on two mere sides of vinyl.

We're premiering "Animal, Mineral, Vegetable" by Girls Chat Room, a standout cut from Invisible Inc's 10-year anniversary compilation. The label celebrates a decade of sitting comfortably in that sweet spot between outsider dance music and experimental sounds. guided by the vision of founder GK Machine since 2014.

Part of a special 2xLP release pressed on pink vinyl, across 80 minutes it's exactly the kind of "mental kaleidoscope" that gives this now Glaswegian institution label its distinct identity.

Ricardo Tobar returns to MUSAR with 'Knitting' - a four-track EP blending dancefloor intimacy with raw, analog spirit. A two original cuts from the Chilean producer are joined by standout remixes from synth sorcerer Pye Corner Audio and cosmic rave queen Nightwave.

The EP opens with 'Los Siblings', a distilled snapshot of Tobar’s current sound: intricate arrangements, ethereal melodies, heavyweight bass-line and a vintage edge shaped for the club. “I’m embracing the dancefloor,” he says. “This is me doing tunes I would like to dance to.”

On the flip, 'Knitting' unravels from a simple arpeggio into lysergic ‘’Stereolab’' - techno chaos-alive, imperfect, and deeply personal. “It sounds like it wants to eat itself,” Tobar reflects. Layers on layers of psychedelia and cosmic melody turn this into a trippy journey track like no one else does.

Architect of foggy club rituals, Pye Corner Audio transforms 'Knitting' into an eerie, trance-tinged club weapon, while Nightwave turns 'Knitting' into a high-gloss, dreamy club stormer.

'Pixel Rain' marks the debut release from Moscow-based musician Dima Safronov, originally hailing from Bryansk. Dima brings fourteen years of DJ experience on his shoulders, he has organized numerous parties, and he's also curator of 5/8 Radio, a music station he founded eight years ago.

'Pixel Rain' doesn't aim to be conceptual, but rather captures the mood of a specific moment, capable of sending listeners drifting along waves of memory. Four compositions feel like brief flashes of emotional impulses, joined together to form a unified whole. Two original tracks (including the title track, created in collaboration with Safronov’s close friend Robsn), seamlessly flow into two dance-oriented remixes, each reflecting and reinterpreting the mood of their originals.

The opening track - 'Pixel Rain' immediately immerses the listener in a world of rich and soft digital textures, delicate rhythms, and subtle sonic architecture. The music is both anxious and pure, like raindrops trickling down an evening windowpane.
'Pixel Rain' is a story told in the language of electronic music, crafted with attention and love for fleeting emotional states that are never meant to return.
