Star Stuff. Star stuck. Legendary stuff. For Live At Robert Johnson's and Riotvan's collaborative EP exceptional artists Rebolledo and Roman Flügel team up to deliver the A1 of the five tracker, that also contains works from Fort Romeau & Panthera Krause, Jennifer Touch & Chinaski, New Hook & Perel, Horkheimer & Gregor Habicht & Peter Invasion and the initially mentioned piece Star Stuff from Roman and Mauricio. With their bubbly synth-disco club-take the artists deliver a heavily addictive as well as dynamically dancefloor decoder as if neither one of the artist had done something different. However, it's been a moment since Rebolledo last put some music out, either under a solo alias or the Pachanga Boys, contrary to Roman who just released his eigth album Eating Darkness on Gerd Janson's Running Back label. Having both artist collaborating on one piece is invariably something exquisite and owed to the fusing artistical environs for this special release – And You?

The collaborative V/A between Live At Robert Johnson and Riotvan And You? will be released on June 11th, 2021.

Out Of Border launches out of Belgium, set to take listeners on open and eclectic journey of techno focussed productions, while exploring an array of influencers from the past and future.

The debut release ‘Rave On’ EP comes from label founder DkA, with a guest appearance from Jon Mosto to close the collection. The title track features monumental breakdowns, powered by reverb soaked synths and a pulsating techno backbone.

‘Acid Tension’ demonstrates the versatility of DkA with broken grooves and warped top line melodies before the collaborative project ’Shade’ rolls out with a fierce climax.

Set for release on 12” and digitally September 1st, ‘Rave On’ is accompanied by a music video directed by Farres Manners and an artwork by 0.V.9.7 (COA)

Playground Records is psyched to present the very first release from Vilnius based producer Monk Ernie, ‘Invisible Pink’. A six hook-filled jams that will take you to the depths of Baltic Post Funk.
The original tracks are as catchy as they are groovy, incorporating influences from all around the world. Psychedelic party music, safari disco madness, fake ritual gurus, driven rubbery bass lines and weird tones. A solid pack with a high quality organic instrumentation to rock the dancefloor. Mid tempo electronic funk from outer space, all 100% playable.
On the remix side, Tel Aviv producer Uriah Klapter delivers a reinterpretation of ‘Invisible Pink’ perfect to be played on a beach at dawn; and Lassi International boss, the Argentinian SidiRum, does his magic on ‘The Lamp’.

A product of Oxford’s prolific creative community, @ChadValley has a catalogue that spans three studio releases – 2010’s self-titled debut EP, 2011’s Equatorial Ultravox, and the 2013 LP, Young Hunger.

Now, two years later, @ChadValley's Hugo Manuel is back with his sophomore album, Entirely New Blue. The record is an exploration in identify and a return to the places that comfort us, especially when we return to them a different person.

The album was written between London, where he lived for years with his long-term girlfriend, and Oxford, the town that he came home to when their relationship ended. That painstaking transition is evident across the album’s nine tracks, perhaps mostly on slow-burners “Labasa” and “Seventeen”. The former of which is the namesake village in Fiji where his grandmother was born.

Unlike previous material, and embodying the spirit of the music, Hugo’s voice appears higher in the mix and rinsed clean of effects on most tracks. Similarly, the production is starker, providing Hugo the space to do more with less. Working with producer Joel Ford, the ethos of stripping away everything that’s not essential is apparent.

Picking Flowers

The latest installment on Roam Recordings comes from Mexican artist Theus Mago (aka Bufi). After a slew of astonishing releases on on seminal labels Correspondent, Turbo, Kill The DJ, La Dame Noir, and DURO Theus Mago brings his characteristic excellent production to Roam with a psychedelic dance floor banger known as the Erotic Polymorphic Experience.

The EP features three top remixes from the likes of Brioski, Jamie Paton, and Cabizbajo. Jamie Paton is up first bringing a grinding version with spattering vocals and snare treatments that make this remix move. Brioski is up next with a blissfully dark and heady version that creeps and crawls around a hypnotic soundscape. Cabizbajo brings the tempo back up to round out the EP with a driving rhythm and bass underpinning the decedent vocal from the original.

With four well crafted and diverse mixes the Erotic Polymorphic Experience is fine way to kick of the new year.

Emerging label @Unterman looks to introduce the best-emerging artists in Tel Aviv. The latest discovery by label founders – brother and sister Middle Sky Moon and Cookie Moon – is a 22-year-old producer, writer and composer Coobe @cuba-596964817, a resident of the Alphabet club and one of the city's most promising new faces behind the decks. Growing up in the revitalised electronic scene of the city, Coobe is an obsessive music collector at heart, his crave for new sounds and challenges shining through every word he speaks. As part of the up-and-coming band Shen, Coobe will also be releasing a debut album on Red Axes’ Garzen records next month.

This  EP from Coobe titled “Caravan Sessions”includes 3 original tracks as well as an exciting remix by @Brioski. The production meanders from dreamy soundscapes to party starting synth goodness – a neat combo of exotic beats, groovy bass-lines and deadpan Hebrew vocals which provide a great snapshot of what’s currently bubbling up in the basements of Tel Aviv.

The journey begins with ‘Luz y Dos’. Sweeps, brakes and weird modulations fights against human sighs. The mothership is ready to take off. A deep dark bassline takes the control. The modulations go further until we dive into a trance. The mystery flood the track. Voices cry out for freedom from the dungeons but the bass is back and this not gonna happen. The track which gives its name to the Ep is ‘Pandora’. A powerful bass invasion embraced by celestial pads. The sequence turns into a sticky leitmotiv. Voices from far away call you to the dancefloor. Acid touches says the time is now. Hard times requiere furious dancing. ‘Saudae’ is the last original mix of this launch. This time the groovy bassline is surrounded by organic percussion which brings some fresh air to this mystical trip. Anyway the madness say hi with crazy modulations. The jungle captures us. Now we dance lost in a wet and warm joy. MR TC jumps into the scene making a very special re-interpretation of this release. A “Combinado Mix” as he calls it. A complex mixture of all tracks in this Ep arrives to end the ride full of hope and light. A sunny track ready for the summer.
