Correspondant return with another cosmic tonic to combat these strange and turbulent times. Four slices of smouldering, sexy, groove-toned deep disco, perfect for any lockdown or socially distanced scenario you can possibly imagine, they come courtesy of Tel Aviv's Niv Ast who's been making a name for himself in all the right places; Nein, Duro, Ombra, Relish and of course this very label with two big cameos last year remixing Fort Romeau and appearing on the 'Nume'ro 2' collection. This is his debut EP for Correspondent and arguably his biggest EP to date; 'I Remember' sets the hazy, introspective mood with purring spoken word and salubrious instrumentation before 'Ninja's Mothership' goes all-out psychedelic with sweeping guitar blasts and a slinky, writhing groove. Deeper again we hit pure uncut funk in the form of 'Hyperball Superball' before 'Poisson d'Argent' brings home the silver... A hook-up with good friend Cornelius Doctor, and easily the heaviest piece of the release, it's a chugging cosmic finale laced with layers of textures and sounds to completely lose yourself within. Strange, turbulent, smouldering, sexy; this is the perfect music to stay safe to... Correspondence is key right now. Let us know how you feel.

Premiere: Laurence Guy - Dreamer [Shall Not Fade]

Liquid fell from the sky in small droplets, each raindrop was multi coloured and sweet to taste upon the tongue. Delicate and moist they were a blessing from above, fruit pastel acid which was sent from the heavens like a radiant kaleidoscope of liquid fluorescence. The night was young, his dreams were wild as he careered amidst the city streets in search of his next adventure. Who knew where he might end up come morning, perhaps by then his fears would be long gone. 

Miss Represented is set to release a new EP via Edinburgh based record label Paradise Palms. A slow moving acid tinged affair for heads down dancers.

When Stephen Hindman (one half of synth duo The Golden Filter) wrote their new solo album under the guise of Isolating last year, they didn't know the name would take on a whole new meaning in 2020. Like their debut EP System on Optimo Music in May, their new outing was written whilst reading Aldous Huxley books, with one text in particular 'Perennial Philosophy', explicitly influencing the release in both the name and output.

The 11 tracks across Perennial, shift through gritty, dystopian sonics all underpinned by an unsettling and brooding anxiety, which mirrors the concept behind Huxley's book: tackling the perspective in spirituality that views all of the world's religions as sharing a single, metaphysical origin.

Born from short bursts of inspiration in the greyed out winters of the Pacific Northwest all original mixes are laced with pensive,  apocalyptic vibes. Expect synth pads kissed by the 80s, melancholic lead parts that break through and underline hypnotic arrangements and subtle organic percussions. Kusht’s remix lifts up these organic parts, supported by additional guitar lines to create his own signature version of These Days while Manski’s energetic version is a gritty banger with a touch of Leftfield House. Contributing a stripped-down remix jiony is rounding out the EP as a whole by adding psychedelic elements to keep up the spirit of Nathan Hall’s Sattva EP for a proper start into 2021.

Starting off with the sneaky rocknrollish Sebastian Tex ‘Hisdraya’ to set you on the right frequency, keep rolling with the wonderboy Astroloop and his ‘Dizziness’ to get you into a dancing mood, maintaining the tension with the Mexican ‘King Of Trassh’ Thomass Jackson and his dark cinematic synths, releasing the leash as the tornado ‘Konnakol’ comes in by the upcoming Israelis Gionist & Turgi, leaving you afloat in an acid extravaganza with ‘The Pi and the Pedestal’ by the never-ending Zillas On Acid, gaining a romantic expansion and a kiss by Skelesys ‘Do It Again’ and finally a stormy farewell with Junto Club lovely accent on ‘Son Of A Gun’ by the labels bosses Niv Ast & Eliezer.

It’s a hell of a trip and it's worth it.

Exhausted Modern builds on his artistic journey with the release of the Year of the Rat remixes EP, a collective reinterpretation that takes the murky, hidden depths of the album to new rhythmic dimensions.

Philipp Otterbach starts off the A-side with a spellbinding composition for the thoughtful, dissolving Pineal Gland into an ethereal cluster of solemn melodies and vocals. Annechoic's take on Apathy Eats You Alive delves into the melodic side of the track, polishing it for the dance floor. Poperttelli draws out T-Maze from dark introspection to beats that waver between a glitch and a heartbeat, with the feeling of having been resuscitated.

The B-Side sees Ayaz putting words to a 180-degree spin on Food of the Gods with hallucinogenic dynamism: a grimy tale of facing the unavoidable. Finally, NVST returns with her Hifive remix of Hard Working Rats, oscillating between heavy and melancholic with soul-permeating resonance.

Taken from the two sonic explorers’ jam sessions in Berlin, these four tracks delve into subaquatic machinery and synaptic oscillations. Intuitive, time-distorting, mind melting improvisations recorded between 2019 and 2020 in Matthias Kanik's (GATS) studio.

For the first time, these soundwaves have been translated into the physical world in the shape of a limited Cassette (K7) pressing, inaugurating the Curuba Tapes series.

The release also features remixes showcasing the label’s diverse and
adventurous sonic palette : equatorian duo Zoroxxe (Joaquin Cornejo & Quixosis) deconstructs Cristal Sirens’ rhythmical intricacies with an abstract footwork reinterpretation, while Curuba co-founder Ditti twists Steppe into a sensible, playfully psychedelic ketapop version. Label heads Psycho Tropiques mash-up several elements from the EP into Cristal Echoes, a two-tempo leftfield club track inspired by dub floating ambiences & jersey club bounces. Parisian artist and label friend Machka closes the release with a beautiful, harmonically rich trip-hop version of Steppe.

With such a collaboration heavy project in the “Yet Another Kito Jempere Album” announced it is no surprise that this following remixes pack comes laden with familiar friends’n’family, plus additional support.   

Taking the ambient meets acappella paene Your Ghost In Me and creating one of his on-point dance floor dramas, Lipelis (Animals Dancing / LIES), utilising Hard Ton’s classic ‘US House’ vocal delivery to create a perfect “big room” anthem.

Next up Born Free boss, Samo DJ (Public Possession / Trilogy Tapes) pumps A King Of Comets with Mood II Swing punch meets Ballistic Brothers riddim’n’culture for some hip-breaks-dancehall swing.   

Cable Toy (Low Budget Family) presents the label favourite with his bouncing, yearning remix of album stand out, Time Traveller.   Countered with a perfect touch of summer vibrations and melancholia this up and coming St Petersburg resident has to be watched.  

Finally, Linja (Avidiya / Malka Tuti) offers a deep, shuffling version of Untitled Ritual.  Arpeggios throb, percussion snaps, tempos shift, planets realign, vocals by Noteless call…wait believing, just we have seen it, God is waiting, nothing can bleeding.
