Forward-thinking and adventurous, Jakarta born and raised DJ & Producer Past Futura is easily recognized by his uninhibited approach to dance music. Navigating between multiple genres, his productions could be defined as haunted and euphoric, an intricate mix of deep basses, hard-driven grooves and intense melodies. All his influences merge into this EP, creating a unique sound that could only be labeled as Jungle Body Music !

Going on remix duty, we are delighted to have Fauve Records boss Romain FX, offering us a sweaty-sexy-discoish take on “Jungle Belly”, reminiscing of the glorious days of Cerrone, and label founder Naranja, delivering a pumped up version of “Arcadia of My Youth”.

Kindergarten Records readies a new V/A compilation with Fluo III - a three-tracker that injects ongoing futuristic dancefloor forays accompanied by kaleidoscopic club sounds. 

Two brand-new voices make their debut on the label, as New York-based artists Palitra and Martini make their presence felt alongside a solo track from label founder Ma Sha.

Palitra leads off Fluo III with “Cold Shoulder”, a methodically bass-churner that invokes a time-warp tunnel between early 2000s sound design up until now. Palitra’s globe-spanning upbringing shaped his influences and experiences - originally from Kyiv and then moving to the
mountainous ranges of Virginia, the constant shifts between time, space and pace developed into distinct sonic sensibilities upon his move to New York. 

From Palitra himself: “Around that time, besides the obvious reference to Source Direct, I was also discovering mid 2000s drumfunk and listening to records from labels like Scientific Wax and Inperspective. The lean, vascular sound and rhythmic structures of the hits of that era inspired the idea behind Cold Shoulder."

This eclectic collection of tracks showcases the talents of both emerging and established artists, drawing heavy inspiration from the legendary Detroit and Chicago electro scenes.

Our previous release was designed around peak time music and this new pack lends itself to the more experimental and heady side of the genre. If CDMUSIC008 was the party, this is the after-party.

CDMUSIC009 captures the pulsating energy and innovative soundscapes that have defined the genre for decades. Each artist on the compilation brings their unique perspective, blending classic electro elements with contemporary production techniques to create a sonic experience that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking.

With tracks by Greazus, Footclan, label boss Sharkki and a handful of new comers, listeners can expect a journey through the rich tapestry of Detroit & Chicago electro history, paying tribute to the visionaries who paved the way while introducing exciting new voices to the genre.
