Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, he entered the world at Portsmouth General Hospital.His father, a military personnel and DJ, and his mother, also serving in the military and skilled in playing the piano, ignited his passion for music.

In the midst of the 80s, in a small trailer in Williamsburg, Virginia, Minor7key honed his skills on an old, beloved piano that his parents owned. Despite facing various challenges, including encounters with violence and a period of incarceration, his unwavering dream of pursuing music remained steadfast.
