All the sets I have played at Planet Zogg, Sheffield's legendary and incredibly long-lived cosmic club night.  The Zogg main room regularly features many types of music from across the techno and psytrance spectrum with a particular focus on tech-trance.  I have been lucky to be asked to play at Zogg many times, it is always a great night with some of the friendliest crowds I have seen.

K. Torpela is a DJ based in Kouvola, Finland, navigating in darker, mutated disco-esque soundscapes. Over the years, he has developed a distinctive and multifaceted signature sound of his own, a retro futuristic soundsphere where different timelines collide.

His sets are built on a Indie Dance / Dark Disco framework, drawing influence from Italo, New Beat, EBM, Acid, Techno, Synthwave.

Sound of distant synths and pulsating bass waves echoing through the dark, his sets are both haunting and captivating. Mysterious, atmospheric and drenched in 80's nostalgia. Like a fever dream under neon lights.

With over a decade of dedication to deep, immersive techno, Atsushi has shaped not only dancefloors but the cultural landscape surrounding them, both in Tokyo and across the globe. Whether in Tokyo’s intimate clubs or on international stages, his sets are marked by precision, patience, and a mind-expanding musical narrative.

This mix is a live recording from rural 2025, capturing Atsushi in his right element: outdoors, surrounded by nature, guiding a devoted crowd into uncharted sonic terrain. Nestled between Erika and Oscar Mulero, starting at midnight, Atsushi weaved a dense and precise tapestry of hypnotic peak time techno. Focused yet expansive, it’s a set that embodies the Rural spirit.

A Nightmare On Zogg Street - Planet Zogg Halloween Ball 2018

The Zogg 19th Birthday was amazing!  Was a pleasure to play alongside Oberon and Neill Moore.  I originally intended this to be a retro set of older hypnotic, dark psychedelic sounds, but it ended up being a trip through some of my favourite (mostly modern) night-time tracks in a few different styles.  

I was very pleased with the result, it was also the first time I played exclusively faster tracks out (151bpm average).
