The Belmar Sol record label is our musical outlet to produce and release our own music, as well as the music of others that we enjoy. Belmar Sol is also the recording trio of Larry, G and Zach, which primarily focuses on releasing sounds defined as MEDITRONICA; a new genre of music that fuses meditation music, ambient soundscapes, electronica, world grooves and down-tempo beats into a funky brew.

DJ and producer K Alexi is one of Chicago's true heroes and cited by many as a pioneer the city's sound. At a young age of 12 K was already moving in the right circles befriending worldwide legends like Frankie Knuckles and Ron Hardy whilst frequenting the famous Warehouse.

K's upbringing in Chicago in the 70's and 80's meant he was exposed to a range of genres and different styles of music including Stevie Wonder Prince Curtis Mayfield and David Huff - these same names would prove to be the roots of influence. K's first pressing 'Essence of a Dream' is still regarded a classic today.

A tally of successful hit records remixing and collaborating with other artists resulted in his talents being sought by a diverse range of artists like The Pet Shop Boys ,Dj Deep ,Derrick May Angel Abi, D- ROLAND ,Paul Johnson ,Dj Gregory ,Kenny Dope ,Mr Lee (who produces for R Kelly) Gene Hunt ,ROLANDO, Maurice Joshua ,MARSHALL JEFFERSON ,Marc Romboy ,Mark Grant ,Larry Heard & Robert Owens, TjenTjen, Dave Angel Felix Da Housecat and Will Smith.Ect

now begins his first tentative steps towards becoming a recognised producer and DJ previously running his own club night Contact/Flux/sound/abstract disco and his influence in organizing dance stages at UK festivals all of this giving him the chance to work and DJ alongside artists such as 65d mavericks, Jim masters, datamine, ital tek and many more along way but now the solo journey has begun..

Always at the forefront of ideas and change Mono Region's style is versatile and hypnotic always ready to move for the peak time's but equally in his element during the ecstatic after-hours or back room derivatives, surprise is the foundation of his approach. With a career spanning over four decades, that began in what many consider to be the most important and influential club of its generation, Fac 51 The Haçienda, and continues with his residency for the award winning I Love Acid club night, few of today’s DJs can boast a pedigree like Jon Dasilva. 

Considered to be Haçienda’s most singular resident DJ, Jon Dasilva was fresh to the scene in '87, finding DJ inspiration in the House and Disco DJs of deepest New York and Chicago, amidst a sea of influences, from Bowie to Dub Reggae to Kosmische Musik to Disco. His broad musical tastes and ability to work so many genres into proper dance floor action mark Dasilva out as a next level DJ. 

His greatest legacy from that period, alongside championing the early Chicago and Detroit sound, was his imaginative take on the idea of the DJ set. Not content with simply mixing one track into another, Dasilva wove a cappella and sound effects into a broad selection of House, Acid, Disco, Techno and even Brazilian Batucada, intuitively mixing in key, building a set dynamic that until then was rarely heard on UK shores.

A lesser known side of his influence was Jon’s inspired warm-up sets at the Haçienda. This was Dasilva's first experience of playing in such a major club, and realising the potential to have fun in the first hour or more of the night, he went about mixing up Dub Reggae, Latin, Disco and Post Punk oddities, interspersed with BBC sound effects. Word spread and soon these mixes would become the inspiration for another set of DJs, who later went on to form the backbone of the soon-to-emerge Balearic DJ scene, as well as artists like the The Chemical Brothers, The New Fast Automatic Daffodils, Matthew Herbert, The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and many more.

Jon still retains a freshness of approach, and this can be heard in his recent DJ mixes. His penchant for the varied shades of acid, techno and house, as well as his keen nose for sniffing out the most interesting modern producers, are evident.

More recently, Dasilva has forged an ongoing relationship with the London club night, I Love Acid and the club’s promoters, Posthuman, regularly doing back-to-back DJ sets with Posthuman. I Love Acid won the Best Club Event in DJ Magazine’s ‘Best Of British’ 2019.
