A simple bunch, only in desire, not in mind. We are refined in matters of the world and well versed in teachings of the night. A motley crew of non-sensical yet strikingly intelligent friends who have next to nothing in common, except their inherent desire to have fun and the divine ability to contribute to almost any topic of conversation from a unique angle.

Hailing from the north and south of the great Um-ge-ni, we may have recorded only the second parting of waters. We’re seldom first, never last. Not always right, but never wrong.

WKRB was conceived in a boozy womb, during a time of enhanced passion and lazy satisfaction, though it was far from a mistake. When day violated the night and brought back our senses, the toxins evaporated yet the passion remained, and regret was far from mind.

Our vision is simple, if you can’t find what you’re looking for make it!

We are creating perfection, perfection for us. We’re not here to prove anything and we’re not here for anybody else. If you like it enjoy it, if you don’t, we probably won’t get along. This is about community, this is about friends, and this is about fun.

I am a rap artist from Durban, South Africa with a fresh unique perspective on life. Signed to Bentley Records in New York City.

Nje (isiZulu) - suffix [nʤe] Merely; only; just 
Nje are a four piece afro, funk, rock outfit born out of the sweaty Durban heat back in 2012.  They’ve been applying their trade at various venues and festivals whilst at the same time writing new music and recording their debut self-titled EP which was released at the end of 2014.  Nje’s members have been in various parts of the music scene for years and consist of; bassist Rogan van den Berg; drummer Gary Parker; guitarist Gregan Aherin and vocalist Portia Malunga Rowling. Nje’s jams have been heard at Splashy Fen, Smoking Dragon, Live The Venue, The Barnyard Theatre Gateway, The Winston and The Wavehouse to name a few, while they have also been heard on East Coast Radio and MRP Radio, where their single Gazi Lami featured on the SA Top 20 Countdown.  Back in 2013, after performing on an online interview, they were specially requested by Ard Matthews to be the opening act of the Durban leg of his album launch.
