Ballade and Bop is a two-movement work heavily inspired by jazz idioms and structures.

Will Everitt is a 21-year-old composer and trumpet player living in London. He writes and performs in both classical and jazz idioms and is interested in exploring the overlap between the two genres within his compositional practice.

Will is an undergraduate at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama studying composition under Sylvia Lim. He is also a previous winner of the BBC Young Composer competition, and has had two works performed in concert by the BBC Concert Orchestra.
