There’s something special when 2 DJs play a back-to-back tag set, picking up from where the other left off, flexing their own style while leaning into the other’s. Something unique comes from that. 

But how do we do that under today's distancing guidelines?
Decibel Point and The Willisist came up with a digital relay process for not 1 but 2 simultaneous mixes and the outcome is fire!

Remember the excitement of an upcoming show? Warm invitations shared with friends and community, building the anticipation, and that moment when the night finally arrives...

A spark is struck. Let's go!

WD heats it up with clean, punchy, rolling Drum and Bass. Blood starts pumping, rekindling the vibes of a dancefloor that knows the party has begun!

DW blazes hot, heart pounding with enthusiasm, throwing you into the inferno of full energy DnB. It's that special moment when you look around and realize the party is popping off!

How did we do it?  The Digital relay.
We each started our own set, Willisist imagining an 11pm tag set at a show, and Decibel Point picturing 1am.  After each recording a 15 minute section, we sent that reference and the last track to each other, to then record the next 15, then back and forth 2 more times until we stitch together 2 separate 1 hour mixes.

Hi, I've been DJ'ng between Ontario and BC since 2004. Over this time I've held various residencies in Ontario as well as organizing and promoting events under the brand "Release"

In Vancouver,  I am a proud supporter of our local underground music scene and am actively seeking opportunities to assist with production and participation.  

My early days were rooted in early 2000's progressive house/breaks. While in the last decade my flavors have shifted towards more bass focused and syncopated styles. I am a strong proponent of sound system culture and the genres that support it.

Music runs deep. Cliched but true, having grown up listening to Karnatic Classical Music(South Indian)and learnt Tabla Hindustani (North Indian Classical) percussion instrument for a brief period of my childhood moving from place to place. I was eventually introduced to Rock/Metal and Jazz. Slowly but steadily things became heavier, technical and progressive Death Metal. Drums sounded overwhelmingy interesting after having been stung by Tomas Haake of Meshuggah, so I began playing at the age of 23, currently addicted to  Post-Rock/Metal & Experimental Jazz Rock/Metal. 
Avid electronica, Proggy House and Psy-trance, Ambient and DnB listener.

Deep, rolling Drum and Bass. Heavy thick 85. Blissful liquid and half time. Expanding into 130 breakbeats, tech house, 2-step, low fi, dubstep etc. If it's good it's good. 
Close your eyes and listen closely, there's layers. 

Since 2007 The Willisist has been pushing the underground in Vancouver. With well over 300 shows hosted, at just about every venue the city had to offer, showcasing international headliners as well as the best new and veteran locals.  Still known for the now legendary False-o-Ween series, some massive NYE events at W2 and The Hive Climbing gym, and long running local nights with Nautilus and the Back Stage Lounge, he's also been a regular at Basscoast, and played Shambs and Wicked Woods. 

With a genuine love for Drum and Bass he has opened or hosted for the likes of Calibre, D-Bridge, Andy C, Dub FX, Dub Phizix, Blu Mar Ten, LSB, Spectrasoul, Breakage, High Contrast, Pendulum, Von D, Netsky and dozens more.
