Since his beginnings in 2001, Freddy J has been on a focused mission of constant development, moulding a unique style that is sure to deliver dancefloor mayhem. With twenty years as a leader of the scene, he has cemented himself as one of Canada’s premiere DJ’s.  
He never fails to bring the best bass-driven party funk possible, with a style that can be described as electro meets funky, dirty, whompy, groovy, bassline. Having headlined at a multitude of club and festival events, the experience Freddy J brings to the tables shines through and gets people moving on the dancefloor. 
2024 saw Freddy J open the Fractal Forest as part of his 14th appearance at Shambhala Music Festival, and once again he showed why he keeps getting invited back year after year... this is definitely one DJ you won’t want to miss!

There are so many places all over the world pumping out different genres of music and they all have their own piece of flavour attached to them. Cmax Music AKA City Props is a second generation DJ.  His father was among the first djs to start the movement and offer to play records at clubs in the early 70's out in New Brunswick Canada.  Cmax has been an avid music festival attendee here in BC for years now,  having hit his first Shambhala in 2004 and watching Basscoast grow to be one of the most desirable festivals in Canada. The summer of 2021 brought on the opportunity to put a set together for Under the stars festival and it ended up being his first time playing solo live. The Willisist
Deep, rolling Drum and Bass. Heavy thick 85. Blissful liquid and half time. Expanding into 130 breakbeats, tech house, 2-step, low fi, dubstep etc. If it's good it's good. 
Close your eyes and listen closely, there's layers. 

Since 2007 The Willisist has been pushing the underground in Vancouver. With well over 300 shows hosted, at just about every venue the city had to offer, showcasing international headliners as well as the best new and veteran locals.  Still known for the now legendary False-o-Ween series, some massive NYE events at W2 and The Hive Climbing gym, and long running local nights with Nautilus and the Back Stage Lounge, he's also been a regular at Basscoast, and played Shambs and Wicked Woods. 

With a genuine love for Drum and Bass he has opened or hosted for the likes of Calibre, D-Bridge, Andy C, Dub FX, Dub Phizix, Blu Mar Ten, LSB, Spectrasoul, Breakage, High Contrast, Pendulum, Von D, Netsky and dozens more.
