01-Project Grimm - A Tribute 2 Gebrüder Grimm In 6 Parts Demo # 010-16_21-06-25

Pauli was six years old when he walked down a road that passed through a small grove, with trees lining both sides. The shadows of the trees formed a triangle on the ground, darker than anything else around. Pauli didn’t like going through it, but turning back would mean being late on his third day of school. 
He walked a bit faster than usual and stepped into the triangle.
A dark, doomy light surrounded him.
He tried to lock his fear away, but it crept back in.
Halfway through. The light changed—shifting into every possible shade of darkness.
Almost there. Just a few feet ahead, bright daylight waited.
Then, in that very second, someone spoke to him.
Male? Female? Pauli couldn’t tell.
The voice came from nowhere and sounded... different. Very different.
He didn’t understand the words—except for one loud, strange sound:
“IIILUAPP.” Whatever that meant. Suddenly, a bright white window opened at the end of the triangle. One side was still in darkness, the other glowing with light.
Pauli jumped toward the window. He leapt high—almost through.
Just an inch more—Almost—Oh no!
A monster rose behind him and grabbed his shirt, pulling him back into the dark.
Pauli lost the fight.
He slipped completely back into the shadows.
That’s when he saw the black dog.
It had pulled him away from the window—back into the dark side.
But the dog didn’t leave him there.
It guided Pauli out of the triangle, back to where he could see the trees again.
It helped him find the way out.
They left the place together.
From that day on, Pauli always took the longer route to school.
He never walked alone again—
The dog was always beside him.
Years later, Pauli learned about a schoolgirl who had gone missing for a week in that very same place with the dark shadows.
She had never been the same.

I tried to settle down once.
Bought a plant.
Forgot to water it.
Wrote it a breakup poem.
Left it in a coffee shop in Prague.

I don’t lie.
I just say the truth before it’s ready.
Like a cake pulled from the oven too soon—
still gooey, still hot, still real.

I tried meditation.
Got bored.
Started a fire dance class in the middle of the retreat.
Now I’m banned from three monasteries and one yoga app.

I love you.
But I also love the open road,
the sound of a new language,
and the thrill of not knowing what the hell I’m doing.

I’m not running away.
I’m running toward.
Toward the next story, the next skyline,
the next version of me that hasn’t been invented yet.

And if I ghosted you?
It wasn’t personal.
I just got distracted by a camel in Morocco
and a conspiracy theory about dolphins.

"I’ll be back... maybe."
