"The referendum on the UK's membership of the EU has had appalling consequences. It has amplified many divisions in society and in particular has helped to re-establish xenophobia as legitimate and acceptable. Witnessing this against the global backdrop of a resurgence of the far-right, it's essential that those who find these developments unacceptable make their thoughts known and take action.

This piece of music was written in the aftermath of the referendum and I present it as the basis of an internationalist collaboration with sound makers irrespective of what kind of music they make, where they live, their background, their age - all are invited to participate. It is not offered as a substitute for progressive political action but as a complement to it. I put it forward in defiance of the bigotry threatening the fragile connections that exist between us all. I hope it will be an opportunity to reaffirm some of those connections amidst a very disturbing situation.

I have provided a finished mixdown of the piece and audio stems of the constituent instrumental parts. Also available are scores and a MIDI file representing the note to note information. Take the parts and use them however you like. It could be subtly remixed or reworked beyond recognition. Change the instrumentation, the key, the order of notes, the notes themselves - it is absolutely open. The only stipulation is this: if you want your piece to be listed on this site then it must have the title "Midi Sans Frontières". You are welcome not to use that title for whatever you do but that means we can't host your piece

Among his fans, Andy Schneider is considered one of the most impassioned and dedicated DJs in San Francisco. However, he isn't on a meteoric rise to global nightlife domination. He's isn't pushing any envelopes or riding the cutting edge of the future, but instead is on an obsessive mission to curate and preserve a moment of the past. You're actually much more likely to find him hunched over used record bins than over a DJ booth, maniacally pawing until his hands are black with acetate residue. And he's just fine with that.

Andy Schneider's simply a self-empowered devotee of the gone-but-not-forgotten sound that captured his robot heart long ago: late century Boxed and Northern Exposed progressive house. This devotion garnered him one of URB magazines's unsigned artist of the month features, a Proton Bedroom Bedlam win followed by Artist of the Week, and residencies and radio appearances across the west coast. His catalogue of unlicensed mixes has won over audiences of all levels of dance appreciation, including the DJ luminaries who originally inspired his pursuit.

As the local scene shifted, Andy stubbornly stuck to his beloved big drums, long mixes, and lush melodies - regularly scouring the city for orphaned vinyl to add to the archive. While not the most commercially viable move, it continues to reward him with a dedicated following of local devotees who catch his rare San Francisco sets, and an international following who collect his labor-of-love compilations. 

He splits his time between performing live hand percussion alongside SF's finest DJs as Ammo, and lovingly weaving choons that will take you on the proverbial journey, as well as a trip down memory lane.

windspace began exploring electronic music in 1982 using analog synthesizers and in recent years has gravitated to ambient music. windspace today mostly uses computers to produce his music, but occasionally some ancient hardware sees the light of day. He also releases more experimental and extreme music under the name of ho66it.  He records his music now in Colorado where he resides with his greatest supporter...his wonderful wife.

Brillman has been an electronic online musician during the last 20 years using many different names: Brillman, Controlfreak, freakcontrol, Red Karma, Atmosphere, Zero Loop, Pan64, Randomcontrol, geometric delay and Superfreak! Brillman mainly creates original sounds from hardware synths but also uses guitar, samplers, vocals or even poetry. He primarily utilizes a 4 to the floor approach. The aesthetics behind the music is about finding a balance between minimalism vs. depth & improvisation vs. programmed.

Tienezo is a one-of-a-kind musician. Primarily inspired by guitar and piano, he has been developing his artistic sensitivity since he was 5. Rich with his curiosity, he wanders between the arts, but music always stands on top as an outlet, as he stays all night long composing in his home studio, constantly looking for new borders to cross.

In his youth, he began composing his first electronic riffs, already forging the outlines of his own identity with dreamlike melodies and the first stars of a unique universe, his universe.

At age 18, he fully dedicates himself to music and leans towards professionalism, attending a music production school to gain knowledge allowing him to deliver the gist of his thoughts, the sharpness of his emotions.

In 2018 he joins the Bloomy crew, a partnership that put him at the forefront of regional electro music scenes and allowed him to free his talent in a LIVE format, with his keyboard at all times. Tienezo always seeks more proximity with his public, offering a true inner journey to his listeners, baring himself on each and every note.
