In the late 1980s, I had the opportunity to watch in the cinema Godfrey Reggio's documentary "Koyaaniquatsi" with music by Philip Glass and produced by Francis Ford Coppola, and I became a fan of the soundtrack from this film.

A few months ago I was watching the third season of "Stranger Things" and suddenly, in the third episode, in the last scene, I heard familiar sounds. Without checking, I could tell I could hear Phillip's music. And so it was. My fascination was revived and I felt the urge to create something similar to his style.
Unfortunately, my creativity and time has its limits and I haven't been able to make a full song... yet ;) But I'm sharing with you an idea, or rather an introduction to this piece. I hope you like it at least a little :)

Just 2 words to tell you, I can't keep them inside anymore. The fear you created in me, the pain and the big questions.. The injustice of putting power in the hands of ignorant and overbearing men. I don't know if I will ever be able to forgive!! I try not to get worn down by hate, and by facts!! what you have done to me will remain with me forever, and I will never forget it. And if that's not the case for you, and you're not victims of the system, at least don't justify heavy abuses of power. Who protects us from you? Choose your side well, otherwise freedom will only be on their terms. But the real problem is that they only carry out orders.. And who gives them these orders? Who is even higher ... after all, we should have the same enemy. Instead I find myself here, fueling this confrontation. And if maybe some people did their job as it should be done, I would have nothing to say. But unfortunately this is the situation. Even if I have respect for those who carry out their humble work, in the best possible way. If the uniform evokes omnipotence in you, don't wear it. Let someone who is good, honest, and non-racist do this job. And above all we act where there is a crime. Not prejudice or fear.. prevention is a good thing, taking advantage of one's uniform is not. Many people actually risk their lives by doing things they don't want to do every day. I'm sure these colleagues of yours also spit on you. If you are dirty, or corrupt, or violent, or racist… you should never work with people. The last thing. Your weapon should be to defend yourself, not to intimidate and frighten those who disagree. Luckily you're not all like that, but really bad and repeated episodes brought me here. Violence is not only wrong for us, but also for you. (Italian system)among other things the state you represent, that we fight, doesn't even defend you!! The lack of institutions in Italy is disconcerting!!! Everyone shut up with fear.. ita state + mafia + the vatican=????????  Sure here is full of wonders, but I'm sure the universe doesn't want this. Peace and happiness for every man, flee from tyranny and save as many as possible.
La paura che avete creato in me, il dolore e le grandi domande.. L' ingiustizia di mettere il potere, in mano a uomini ignoranti e prepotenti. Non so se potrò mai perdonare!! Io ci provo a non farmi logorare dall' odio, e dai fatti!! Quello che mi\ci avete fatto rimarrà in presso per sempre, e non lo scorderò\scorderemo mai. E se per voi non è così, e non siete vittime del sistema, almeno non giustificate pesanti abusi di potere. Chi ci protegge da voi? Scegli bene da che parte stare, sennò la libertà sarà solo alle loro condizioni. Ma il problema vero, è che loro eseguono solo gli ordini.. E chi glieli da questi ordini? Chi è ancora più in alto... infondo infondo, dovremmo avere lo stesso nemico. Invece mi ritrovo qui, ad alimentare questo scontro. E se magari certe persone facessero il loro lavoro come va fatto, non avrei niente da dire. Ma purtroppo la situazione è questa. Anche se ho rispetto per chi svolge il suo umile lavoro, nel migliore dei modi. Se la divisa ti evoca onnipotenza, non te la mettere. Fai fare questo lavoro a chi è buono, onesto, e non razzista. E soprattutto si agisce dove c'è reato. Non pregiudizio o paura.. la prevenzione è cosa buona, l' approfittarsi della propria divisa non lo è. Molte persone rischiano la vita veramente, svolgendo ogni giorno azioni che non vogliono fare. Sono sicuro che anche questi vostri colleghi, vi sputano. Se sei un porco, o corrotto, o un violento, o un razzista.. non dovresti mai lavorare con le persone. L' ultima cosa. La vostra arma dovrebbe essere per difendervi, non per intimidire chi è disarmato e spaventare chi non è d' accordo. Per fortuna non siete tutti cosi, ma episodi davvero brutti e ripetuti, mi hanno portato qui. La violenza non è sbagliata solo per noi, ma anche per voi.
