Bio :
Don Lockwood produces electronic music in an eclectic and untypical style. A DJ first, Don's music collection began as masses of cassettes crammed into fruit crates, hoarded pirate radio sets, Essential Mixes, live performances, and albums from most genres. This varied taste in music from many different decades is the backbone of his sound.

SYM is a Techno DJ & producer highly influenced by the 90s.
His style is a combination of heavy grooves, dark sequences and house influences, and his music is constantly evolving that you will never hear him stuck in one sound only.

SYM is a project started in 2013 and since then he's had residencies in Civitanova (Italy), Liverpool, Manchester and Ibiza.
He's now based in Barcelona where he runs a monthly event called Sociedad Groove (@sociedadgroove) and is also the founder of its label Sociedad Groove Records. He's DJ'ed in many clubs in town such as MOOG, Garage of The Bass Valley, M7, City Hall, Macarena and in Spain like Florida 135 (Fraga), Hangar48 (Madrid), Jazzbah (Menorca) etc.
He's shared the DJ booth with big names such as Marco Bailey, Shlomi Aber, Beau Didier, Ruiz Osc1, M.I.T.A., Pushmann, Pig&Dan and much more.

He also counts some other international gigs in Berlin (Ava Club, Humbolthain Club); London (Werkhaus); Porto (Hard Club); Amsterdam (RD Made); Lille, France (La Rélève); Hong Kong (Slap); Riga, Latvia (Moon Safari); Nazilli, Turkey (Taco Rene); Bangkok, Thailand (9 Bar Khao San Road).

His productions have received positive feedback by the likes of Luigi Madonna, DJ Dextro, Shlomi Aber, Michael Klein, A.Paul, Saytek and got released on big labels such as Contempo, Special Series, Naked Lunch, Dolma Records...

Here you can find my productions of electronic music as well as experimental tracks and instrumental beats. My sound is divided into three areas. Firstly, and for the longest time, I produce Techno, which I would classify between Acid, Detroit, Minimal and Tech-House with a hypnotic character and psychedelic elements. I also tinker with experimental electronic sound, sometimes more, sometimes less. And in the third area I produce Instrumental Beats, which can also be licensed for further recordings. Here I move in the sound field of the Golden Era and classic Hip-Hop.

In my mid teens, shortly after the Millennium, I started to get interested in various electronic music off the mainstream. I started to deal with different daw's, sound tools and devices and create my own techno based stuff. Besides that I listen also Hip- and Trip Hop Stuff and started to produce Instrumental Beats in 2020. 

I also created further playlists with selected songs and mixes of various artists and genres from my journeys on soundcloud.

Besides creating music I'm also active in Art - Pencil, Pen & Ink Drawing and also Digital Art - if you're interested, just have a look at my website or social media.

My first intention is to share my work to people who interested in!

" Paolo Fanelli found a thread very early to shape the rest of his life. Paolo filled his living space obsessively with various equipment and through this process of play through improvisation and creativity, first beats , tracks and remixes are created. Initial gameplay has become great passion and love with electronic music.
Always looking for a new sound, Paolo attaches the advantage to newer production at the same time, not forgetting the roots of electronics. His style can be described as a mix of minimal techno & deep-tech with a lot of old-school remixes that gives a pure dance beat with a warm bass melody. In his performances, he loves to see the audience enjoying the rhythm and the sound of his songs and remixes while he rules in his style, finding the greatest inspiration for work in this creative expression. Because for Paolo, in the process of creative communication with the audience lies the beauty of electronic music. "

Ive hit my limit of 2000 following, so if you dont mind waiting a week or so, those that want following back i will have a clear out then.Thanks.

I started mixing after attending underground music events in Birmingham UK around 2004 and was given the opportunity to play at some of the best clubs that the city had to offer after giving out demo cd’s. I enjoyed playing regularly on the Birmingham dance scene at nights such as Afterssential and Funkissentail @ Subway City where I played 4x4 speed garage in the back room and Hardhouse in the main room, I became a resident for Shine, one of the best after party clubs in Birmingham and moved on to playing techno influenced by Atomic Jam and House of God events that took place at the legendary Que Club in Birmingham. I moved abroad to work around 2012 and dj’ing fell to the wayside, but I continued to create mixes, mainly techno but also going back to my early years and creating funky house and Hardhouse mixes. Today I work full-time but like to create the Techclub series of monthly Techno mixes of tracks that are consistently on my listening schedule.
