The Shizzle is a weekly radio program that has been running since late 2014 on 99.9 BayFM (Byron Bay) exploring a diverse range of music from the now, yesterday and tomorrow. Touching on  everything from psychedelia, techno, post punk, disco, house, leftfield electronic music, world exotica & more. I have a very loose music policy, "If I like it, I play it".

I am a passionate music fan originally from Melbourne who now calls the Byron Shire home. In Melbourne I presented various electronic music radio shows on 3PBS FM, was a founding member of the Global Eyes music/art project and a regular fixture on Melbourne’s underground dj scene spinning at intimate affairs through to clubs and larger festivals including Earthcore,  Rainbow Serpent & The Eclipse Festival. I am in my happy place playing music to an adventurous dance floor.

Drawing on everything from deep and soulful house through R&B to Disco.

Octupone has spun his web of wicked tunes all over the world and then some: from the Soulkitchen or the Golden Pudel Club in his original hometown of Hamburg to the Bar Tausend, Jackie O or at the Party for the ECHO (Germany’s Grammys) in Berlin, from Rio de Janeiro via Tulum or Paris on to Mykonos or Hong Kong. Currently residing as DJ and Music Consultant and Supervisor at La Granja IBIZA, he rarely repeats and never ceases to amaze.

This archive features creators who are signed, unsigned, unknown, overlooked or about to cook. The labels + artists represent their own genre + show the wild versatility + talent bubbling up through the counterculture of Australia’s lower east side. Most are fresh tracks with the odd exclusive album teaser or a just dropped special version. Sometimes we are the only ones that know about it + sometimes we persuade artists to release tracks just for us. 

We focus on original artists, djs, venues, recording studios,  festivals + those artists supporting the pacific southeast scene along the south coast of New South Wales.
