Hailing from the hills of Northern California, Freeman 713 (Real Name, Trevor Tappe) is a DJ/Producer based out of Los Angeles.

Inspired by the sights and sounds of early 2000’s Hardgroove & Tribal Techno, Freeman 713 pairs Dense Tribal Grooves with High Energy Rave Vibes to create a versatile and potent blend of slamming techno. The sound is heavy and driving while still being groovy, sexy, and endlessly danceable.

In 2021, Freeman began garnering global online attention for their “Weapons'' series - a series of fast, tooly grooves largely inspired by the early 2000s tribal and hard techno (Stigmata, Sway, Pounding Grooves). At the same time, Freeman began making waves in the LA underground rave scene, spinning blistering sets at clandestine renegades and finding common sonic grounds with other LA-based artists inspired by the 90s Hardgroove sound.

Freeman 713 is also a founding member of Northern California-based collective “Perfect Dark” – a group of friends dedicated to exploring the sounds of house & techno. With two VAs, a respectable discography of original releases, and countless parties under their belt, Perfect Dark has been curating a raw underground vibe since 2019.
