This was a set I recorded on January 4th, 2025 for a friend's new years house party. I played the 11:00 pm to 12:30 am time slot. It was a lovely time, full of lots of close friends as well as plenty of cool people I had never met before. The sound setup was in his living room (and provided for by Opening Move), with speakers way too big for the space (the ideal setup). I think this set showcases my music taste, and it's evolution over the last year very well, as well as a tonne of fantastic artists including some super underrated ones. I am proud of how this came together in the end. There were no glaring mistakes, and the small ones I did make, it feels like I managed well and are hard for me to pick out unless I am listening very carefully at the exact moment they occur. From the opening seconds, the Quadrant & Iris remix of Bedhead strikes a careful balance between reverence and reinvention. The original’s ominous sub-bass growl and the skeletal drum patterns that made Bedhead a C4C classic are still present.
