I have been working on this track for a while. It's kind of a mess, but I kind of like it that way. It feels appropriately scattered and disorienting. One moment there is a well worn groove, and the next it is thrown out. Is it good? Who knows. Enjoy?

Fragmentation

Edmonton based DJ and Producer focusing on darker Drum and Bass genres such as neurofunk, darkstep, techstep, crossbreed and technoid. That being said, I do not shy away from minimal, deep, liquid, halftime or even more broad bass music genres to round out a set and make it fit a night better.

The goal of this project is twofold:
- Fill a perceived gap in my local drum and bass, and broader bass music scene, specifically around giving airtime to edgy, difficult, weird, fast, hard, dark, well produced and intricate music. There are lots of niche genres that I think have a lot to offer aesthetically, as well as thematically and musically. 
- Fill a gap in the broader musical landscape. Find the transition pieces that are lacking content and try to help mortar the gaps between these genres in. Whether it's the gap between hardcore and drum and bass, or techno and drum and bass. Working in those weird faster, or slower tempos. Working in non-standard drum patterning that opens up new opportunities for transitional material. Finding a home on the fringes.
