'Join The Dots' is the title track taken from TOY's forthcoming second album. 

The single edit - backed with an instrumental of the track - will be released as a limited edition 7" (300 copies) on 21st October 2013. Each copy will feature a screen-printed sleeve by artist David Chatton Barker (www.davidchattonbarker.com).

'Join The Dots', the album, will be released through Heavenly Recordings on Monday 9th December 2013.

It follows TOY's self-titled debut album which was released in September 2012, also recorded with Dan Carey in his South London studio.

The sonic equivalent of standing on a beach as a tidal wave approaches, listening to IRESS is to be aware of certain devastation, yet grateful to witness something so terrifyingly beautiful, and transfixed in anticipation for whatever happens next.

Formed in Los Angeles in 2010, IRESS employ dark, commanding elements of shoegaze, slowcore and metal, swelling in moments of cinematic-like crescendo. Dubbed the “Adele of Doom” by her local LA music peers, frontwoman Michelle Malley’s vocals have the power to envelop with smokey warmth, destroy with anguished belting, and arrest with unbelievable restraint. Bassist, Michael Maldonado, provides the much-needed anchor in the bewitching melodies and reverb, while drummer, Glenn Chu, pushes unrelentingly forward. Guitarist, Graham Walker, joined in 2022 instigating a new, more collaborative way of working for the band. This chemistry is undeniable on stage as the intentionality applied to live performances leaves audiences stunned to silence in moments, brought to tears in others when impaled by Malley’s emotional screams, all the while supplying a satisfying amount of crushing distortion to head bang through.

The success of Iress’ newfound anatomy can also be heard in the exceptionally composed, staggering wave of doomgazey sound on the upcoming Solace EP, which tells the story of the brutal reality of change: inevitable, painful and beautiful.

Since 2002, over the course of 4 studio albums and hundreds of live performances Wolves in the Throne Room have refracted the transcendent and mythic aspects of Black Metal through their own idiosyncratic Cascadian prism.  The resulting essence is music that is intimately linked to the wild lands of the Pacific Northwest.
Their songs explore the hidden world of magic that one accesses through dreams, visions and music.  As the mind altering pulse of the drums merges with seemingly infinite layers of guitar, an ocean-deep psychedelic soundscape coalesces.  Time slows down, a portal opens and the blazing metal riffs collapse and shift into a dirge that invokes a misty other-world. In their songs, rain-drenched specters loom at the edge of the wood. Ancient cedar beings stir beneath their wet moss robes. One glimpses a bronze-domed temple rising among the firs.
In fall of 2011, their work reached a new level of refinement with the release of Celestial Lineage.  In contrast to the bleakly hypnotic architecture of 2008’s Black Cascade, or the more orthodox forms of Two Hunters (2007) and Diadem of 12 Stars (2006), Celestial Lineage moved into a more expansive and visionary territory. The band’s trademark long-form approach to arrangement remained intact, but the album revealed a thread of star-lit pulse emanating from a bank of crumbling analog synthesizers woven with the intertwining guitar figures.
2014 will see the release of Celestite, an instrumental, experimental companion record to Celestial Lineage.  Celestite sees the band take a deeper excursion into the crystalline synthesizer-driven domains that have long intrigued them.  With the aid of producer Randall Dunn, the band unearthed a hidden soundscape that is only loosely tethered to their familiar sound, yet is still unmistakably the work of Wolves in the Throne Room.
Celestite will be the inaugural release on the band’s new label, Artemisia Records, which will be their outlet for future releases.
